pretty but overpriced for the quality

The chandelier is very pretty but very poorly made. Two of the chain links actually broke as we were bending them to shorten the chain to the correct length. The grounding wire is bare copper and not covered by rubber - we used a black marker to darken it so it's not as noticable going up the chain to the ceiling. Finally, only two tiny screws hold the heavy weight of the chandelier to the mounting bracket. I am hoping that it does not come crashing down on the Thanksgiving dinner! I hope that Pottery Barn will fix these issues.
That being said, it is a beautiful chandelier. The wine bottles really add character to our dining area. I put in fan/appliance sized 40 watt bulbs (it's on a dimmer so could not use CFL's), but A9's would work as well. I am so glad I received this gift. Also, I will add that we have this over a table that seats 3 on each side and it is a good fit for the size of the table.

Love my Chandelier. It was a little difficult to put together & get up with all those bottles... but it was worth it. It's different and adds a lot of pizazz to the room!

This chandelier is beautiful once completed, however, be aware that it does NOT come assembled and can be quite difficult to hang. Also, make sure wherever it is hung, the brace is reinforced as the chandelier is extremely heavy once all the wine bottles are attached. Overall, love it and it is beautiful and definitely different.

This Chandelier is awesome. the look of it is exactly what we were looking for. It was easy to install with basic household tools. i hooked it up to a dimmer for more light control and it looks great. a few of our friends thought my wife and i were nuts for getting a "wine bottle chandelier" but once they saw it put up the reactions changed and everyone loves it. the price is competitive and if you can get it on sale even better. i would recommend this to anyone looking to add something fun to their eating area.

Missing a cork

Neat lamp, but one of the bottles was missing a cork. Customer service was helpful, but they could only offer a full exchange, not just a cork or a single bottle. Sounds OK, but not after the box and chandelier were opened and unpackaged.

I had looked at this chandelier several times online and kept talking myself out of buying it....it seemed a bit pricey for a lot of wine bottles and metal. My husband and I decided to splurge on the chandelier and we are so happy that we did. We had it professionally installed and it looks great!!! It brings so much character to a room and appears larger than in the pictures.

Although the fixture itself is easy to assemble and connect to an existing ceiling box; I strongly recommend having an electrician secure the electric box properly. I removed a large brass-finish (much lighter) chandelier and hung the wine bottle light. The plastic electric box was not secured enough to hold the weight. We had to dismantle the chandelier and call in an electrician. After spending $170 to have a ceiling fan box installed, buying a ceiling medallion to cover the new hole, and reinstalling... my daughter seems happy with the purchase!

We recently moved into a new home and have had our eye on this chandelier for months! It is absolutely beautiful! A truly unique piece to any kitchen/dinning room. Installation is a bit easier with two people but overall, not a complicated chandelier to install. We are ecstatic with this addition to our new home!

This just MAKES our dining room! I get so many compliments on it from everyone and it the way the light shines through the bottles provides the most beautiful ambience ever! The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is it is very very difficult for one person to assemble!

Really love the chandelier, HOWEVER, the box was missing necessary parts to hang the light. Had to wait for another light to be delivered to our home, customer service was good!!!

Nothing to "Wine" About!

This is a great converstaion piece. We were looking for the perfect chandilier for our dinner table. For months, we were eating by candlelight without a fixture in place. You know you really need one when your husband asks, "Is this meat?" I found this exceptional piece in your catalog and ordered it right away. It is the perfect lighting feature for our table that is as practical as it is unique. It has become a great focal point for the room. I raise my glass to yet another great product brought to my attention, available through Pottery Barn!

I couldn't have been more pleased with the Wine Bottle Chandelier. It fits in perfectly with my Tuscan decor. I love the way it casts light on my dining room walls. It has made the room more intimate and relaxing. The chandelier not only looks beautiful, but, also has become the main topic of conversation when entertaining. The excellent quality and service is what I have come to expect and receive from Pottery Barn.

Needed more wattage in special light bulbs. Not as bright as I would prefer. But is is interesting and fun in our very open house.

I recently bought the wine bottle chandelier to hang above my dining room table. The quality is excellent and the green glass casts a soft glow around the room. I installed mine with a dimmer as the lights were too bright for my personal taste. The light reflects off the bottles in a beautiful pattern when lit... very pleased with my purchase!
