This desk set looks so nice in our small office. The ivory option with mahogany top keeps it airy and casual, but is still very functional. I would have given 5 stars, but we were disappointed that the desk top doesn't look like real wood, plus it has many faux divets and stress indentations in it, so must always use a pad of paper when writing.

Sturdy Furnituire

This furniture is very attractive and sturdily built. The finish is good. My only complaints are: (i) one drawer in the three drawer tower does not stay closed (while the other two do - go figure) and (ii) the three drawer unit is only available with the corner desk. I would have purchased another one but couldn't. Again, go figure. The thing is a stand alone piece that connects to the desk and I don't understand why PB doesn't sell it separately as well. Now, if I can only figure out a discrete way to keep that rogue drawer closed.

I absolutely love this desk and the additional file cabinets. Bought for my painting/sewing room. Looks great, is exceptionally good quality. The only thing I would change is the distressed look of the off-white cabinets. Never been a fan of shabby chic, distressed. Would rather it was just painted white without the sanded edges, however it's kinda growing on me.
If you like it order before it's gone. That's one negative about Pottery Barn. I've found if you want to add pieces to a collection they may not have it in the future.

Perfect home office desk

This desk fits perfectly in a home office, without taking up a lot of space given the corner-style set up. Medium to dark wood top is a nice contrast against lighter cream-colored base. Real wood and very sturdy. Plenty of drawer/file space as well.

I'm completely satisfied with my new Whitney corner desk set. The vented cabinet doors, bun feet, and wood top give this set an attractive presentation. I was worried that I wouldn't have enough desktop space after my laptop, printer, and other hardware were set up. Even with all this, I still have plenty of space. My new home office looks great and is completely functional. I couldn't be happier!

The Whitney desk is the perfect fit, as it slides right into the corner, and has nice furniture finishes, to blend with the 'cottage' style I have going on in my little place. Sitting at this desk, is a pleasure because it is HUGE in every way that counts! A major work space, as it fills in the corner. Electric cords can go down the back (the tip of the corner is not filled in with desktop). You also have ample room under the desk for your legs, from side to side, and it's huge from corner to front. Drawers in mine are tight, and sometimes I really have to push to slide a file drawer closed, but I think they will loosen up with use. The two tone finish is pretty, and looks great in the corner of my living room. I'm thinking the rustic top to the desk is charming, but may be better with the same rustic look, but a smoother finish.
I have many things from Pottery Barn in my home, and I am very happy with all of them!

I have been looking for a desk for over a year now. My husband found this desk in the catalog and I instantly fell in love. The piece was so new that no stores were carrying it for display. We decided to roll the dice and buy it anyway and I couldn't be happier. The desktop is beautiful! The catalog doesn't show the gorgeous lines of the wood and how rustic it is. Also, the cabinets are more cream than white with an antique finish. The desk is sturdy and solid.

I bought the corner desk, lateral file, corner hutch and cabinet. The quality is superb, the drawers slide smoothly and the finish looks great. I am very happy with the whole system. I would highly recommend this set.
