Disappointed in one Design Element

Like the other reviewers, I loved the look of these sconces. We ordered three. I was disappointed, though, that a cover for the cord wasn't included. I didn't like the cord showing down the wall from the light to the electrical outlet. So I returned them and purchased another light from Pottery Barn. We're totally pleased with our substitute choice, since a sleeve was included to cover the cord.

Beautiful Sconces!

We purchased two of these sconces to go on either side of our iron bed. The color is a "pewter over black" color. This was perfect for us, they are an exact match to our bed! Alot of care was taken in packaging to prevent damage. They are sturdy and the anchors provided were more than adequate. As others have suggested, my husband removed and installed the back plate first, then attached the sconces to them. These have a classic, uncomplicated look. Well made and beautiful. We couldn't be happier with them!

I purchased these sconces because they were bronze and when I took them out of the box they were more pewter. They were nicely made but not the right color so they went back.

I love the looks of this lamp, it's not hung yet but will look great by our twin beds. Think the 3way switch will be great, it's perfect for where I want it.

Beautiful lighting. The perfect solution to freeing up our night stands. I am so impressed with the easy installation. All it took was one screwdriver and about 20 minutes time.

Great solution for my cluttered bedside table and an improvement in the light for reading before bed. Overall very pleased with the way it looks and the way it solved

We love these lights...can see to read well. Our only issue was that the part that keeps the light stable kept coming loose.

Perfect lamp for what we needed

This is a very nice lamp. We chose this one over some others because this doesn't stick out from the wall as far. Installation was relatively easy with the template they provide. The switch is a little different from what I've seen before. It has a high-low switch, as apposed to three way or a dimmer. So you just use a 75 watt bulb and it has a high setting and a low setting. It seems to work just fine and I like having the option.

These sconces are great for a bedroom! They adjust up and down as well as side to side - which makes they so much better than a regular bedside lamp. They were also easy to install.

perfect reading lamps

I chose these lamps because I wanted ones that did not take space on a bedside table, ones designed to adjust height of the lamp, and ones which would have adequate light for reading in the evening. They also look 'smart' on either side of my bed, and the price was so reasonable. There were no problems hanging them.

Great lamp for the money!

I ordered a pair of the Weston Arc sconces to hang at either end of my sofa. They look great and the easy positioning (up/down, swing side-to-side) makes them perfect for reading or other tasks. An added bonus is more room on the endtable.
The product was well packaged (no damage to the shade or lamp) and easily assembled and mounted. I love the finish on the lamp; it looks very high quality.

I purchased two Weston Arc Sconces to go on either side of my king size bed in the master bedroom. They look great, put out good light, and were not hard to hang. I like the size of the shades, and the distance from the wall is just right for my 16 and 22 inch deep end tables. I did use a heavier duty wall anchor than what was packaged with the lamps. We have a switched plug on either side of the bed, so turning the lamps on and off is easy. If I could change anything on the lamp, I would make the rod that covers the cord longer. However, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Needs a little refinement

I love the style and color of these lamps, but like previous reviewers, I took off the mounting plate and screwed it to the wall first, which made a much more secure mounting. Both the lamps are mounted crooked to the support pole, one worse that the other, which I was disappointed with. Not sure if I will keep the worst one or exchange it for, hopefully, a straighter one.

I originally bought a pair of these sconces for my redecorated bedroom. I loved them so much, I knew I wanted another pair for the guest room I'm taking on now. They are sturdy, great looking, and worth every penny.

Looks great, but install instructions not so...

5 stars for looks after install, and an excellent value. BUT as another reviewer noted, install may not be easy or satisfactory if you follow the instuctions. The fasteners included for drywall did not work on my older drywall and pulled out, leaving a hole in the wall. I had to buy toggle bolts. Then a VERY minor difference in holes that were oh-so-slightly off-level made the base move off the screws when the lamp was rotated. Taking of the back plate, screwing that tightly to the wall (adjusting to absolute level) then attaching the lamp fixed the problem. Ignore the instructions, this is a much more secure mounting, definitely needed for a swiveling light). After that change, the lamp was level, solid and looked perfect. It's perfect for a bedside reading lamp, and I liked it so much I'm going to buy another. Install is actually easy once I ignored the instructions and followed the previous reviewer.

I bought a pair of these lamps for my bedroom and they look great, but had some issues with installation. Rather than just hanging per the instructions we installed by taking off back plate which allows for a much more secure attachment to the wall. We had to use pliers to adjust as each lamp was out of balance in opposite directions. And plate still slightly crooked but not too noticable.

The two sconces I ordered arrived very timely and well packaged. They were perfect for mounting beside our bed and freed up space on our nightstands. My husband is average handy and had them installed without any problem in less than an hour. They are great if you don't want to hard wire for sconces since they plug into a wall outlet.
