Wells Palampore Duvet Cover & Sham - Ivory
Bold palampore motifs flourish in a rich, saturated palette against a soft ivory background. Printed front and back on textured cotton-linen, and edged with a narrow frame of piping. Cotton-linen. Duvet cover has a hidden button closure and interior ties to keep the duvet in place. Sham has an envelope closure; insert is sold separately. Machine wash. Catalog / Internet Only. Imported.

The color of the duvet wasn't like the pictures. The background was a dirty tan, not ivory. I sent it back

Lovely Duvet and Pillow Shams

I love the bright colors on these items. They fit perfectly with the room. The fabic is a nice, heavy cotton that resists wrinkles. Two comments, however, the ivory background is a tad darker in person than in the picture, and the European shams are large and I needed to get batting to fill them completely, despite have new European size filler pillows. All in all, however, very happy with my purchase.

As many others have stated, I expected the background to be ivory. It is much darker, almost a tea-stained color, very tan. I loved the other colors though and the weight so I decided to keep it. I have had it for about 10 months so decided to wash it. Washed it according to the label and it came out so faded and worn looking it looks 20 years old and ratty! I didn't wash the matching shams and now they look so different from each other I can't use them together-or wash them and have them look faded at ratty too??Had I known I would not have purchased.

I have been looking for a new comforter for years and I had been considering a different Duvet cover from the Pottery Barn catalog because I needed similar colors. I had seen this one but wasn't sure it was going to go as well. I went to my friend's house in Houston and this was the duvet cover she had on her guest bed. I loved it and new it would look great in my bedroom! It is so pretty and for some reason my room looks bigger! Love it!!

Did not like the linen content

Have ordered the organic duvets and shams in the past, but, this set was too scratchy for our taste. Sent all of this product back. Not what I expected.

Described as ivory, and shown with an ivory background in photos, in actuality this set has a nasty dark sand colored background. It's not what I expected and would be pretty if it were "Ivory." As is, it's quite ugly.

I got the shams as a "winter" look for our bed. I like the pattern very much and they go well in our bedroom. However, after washing them, the cotton/linen fabric feels quite flimsy. The envelope closure on the back gaps, even though I am using inexpensive polyfill pillows that don't have a lot of loft. Makes me want to put a snap or velcro on the closure to pull it tight.

Color not as expected

The weight of the material was very good, however, the background color was darker than I expected. It looked like cream on your website and it was actually tan. In ordering several duvets from your website it would be helpful if you stated the colors in your description.

The color is true to the picture. It is very rich in the burgundy and green tones. The background color looks great with the headboard material. Love the idea of duvet covers to change with the seasons. The material is also very durable,soft and well made.

A disappointment!

This duvet is a completely different color than is shown in the catalog. The photo shows a creamy white background. The product has a dark tan background. Very depressing! It also wrinkles with the slightest use. I would have returned it, but had already installed it before I realized what was wrong.

My first ever Pottery Barn bedding purchase and I am hooked! I bought this set for my guest room after a six month search for"just the right thing." The colors are stunning and one of my favorite features is the fact the pillow shams actually fit the pillow form, rather than flopping limply all over the place like many other mfgs. - at even higher price points than this. Very beautiful, well made, and quite affordable. I will buy Pottery Barn bedding again.

The background color is advertised as 'ivory'. The photos in the catalogs show it as ivory and on-line photos look ivory. In reality, it is a very yellowy gold color. This discourages me from ordering 'internet/catalog only' items in the future unless color is not an issue.
Do like the pattern very much and it is generously sized.
