Wells Palampore Duvet Cover & Sham - Blue
Bold palampore motifs flourish in a rich, saturated palette against a soft blue background. Printed front and back on textured cotton-linen, and edged with a narrow frame of ivory piping. Cotton-linen. Duvet cover has a hidden button closure and interior ties to keep the duvet in place. Sham has an envelope closure; insert is sold separately. Machine wash. Catalog / Internet Only. Colors Not As They Appear Online!

I loved the pattern of this bedding and was so excited for it to arrive. However, upon opening the box, my excitement turned to disappointment. The finish is definitely a matte where i was expecting more of a slight sheen, although that was not the deal breaker. It was that the colors are very different from how they appear online. The blue is much deeper and there is no yellow; the yellow cording and flowers are actually shades of tan. Unfortunately, I was trying to build on the butter color, so this one is going back.

High Quality & Great Design

I ordered several duvet covers to find a good match for a queen bedroom. While we decided on a different PB pattern for that room, we loved the Palampore design, and decided to keep it to use in another queen-sized bedroom. I was hesitant as the fabric is 15% linen, and I didn't know how it would withstand laundering. But I needn't have worried. This is exceptional quality - and I have washed and dried it a several times in the past 6 months - the fabric doesn't wrinkle very much so you don't really need to iron (really!). I have it on a "level 5" duvet - it's very fluffy - and the cover fits perfectly. Everyone who has seen this bedding has commented on it - it looks great in our smallish bedroom and the pattern doesn't overwhelm the room. PB duvets are excellent and the interior ties to hold the comforter are essential.

I hesitated on this purchase, afraid the pattern might be too busy and/or not knowing what the feel of the fabric was since it was an internet only purchase. However, it is beautiful and classic! This will dress our bedroom for the next decade and is a joy to snuggle in as well as gorgeous to show off. Well worth the price!

This is a very elegant set and the colors are rich. The fabric is very high quality and the workmanship is as well. It has a vintage look and that's why it appealed to me. Beautiful set!

I Adore This Bedding...

I have wanted this bedding for a couple of years now. So glad I have it! It is SO lovely. I did get nervous when one reviewer said it resembled a hotel bed cover! The blue is a tad deeper than the picture. And I am not typically drawn to blues.The colors are warm, rich and cool...all at the same time.
I was pleased to find that its length was long enough to cover the top mattress of our king size bed on the sides. My last Pottery Barn duvet was not quite long enough.

I ordered a queen duvet cover and two shams. They looked just like the pictures... although I will say the one flower was more red than orange (not a problem, just FYI). I was a little nervous about the linen content making the material wrinkly, but it doesn't. And I LOVE the ties in the corners of the duvet cover. Nice quality PB item, very satisfied.

I waited one year or so for this particular duvet to go on sale. I bought it the second it did go on sale and was so disappointed when I opened the box. The material was faded and the quality was not good. I returned it.

It is more colorful in person, the fabric is a tad "itchy/rough", and it is not as fluffy and full with the duvet as I would've hoped for, but I love it and I am satisfied!

This duvet cover is absolutely beautiful! The quality is fantastic and the colors are just like in the photo on line. I have gotten so many compliments on this! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it is not real soft - it's not bad and I definitely would still buy it, but I wish it were just a little softer. You won't be sorry with this cover though.....so pretty. Oh, and my hubby likes it alot - he said it's not too fru-fru. :)

I actually needed to return the quilt and shams because the actual color was not as depicted on the internet nor in the catalog. I really wanted the background to be more of a seafoam blue/green and it was a darker blue. It did not meet my expectations.

I've been looking for new bedding. My requirements were that it needed to include color, be a classic pattern, and gorgeous.
This bedding did not disappoint. The color is a little more blue in life vs online, but it's perfect in my opinion. I love the pops or yellow and coral. I paired it with white sheets like the catalog display.

The Wells Palampore duvet cover is a very nice quality and the colors are very pretty. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I have not washed it yet, so I'm not sure how it will come out. It goes beautifully in the master bedroom of my new home. This was my first time to purchase from Pottery Barn online and the 1st bedding I selected and received was not the exact color I was looking for, so I returned it with absolutely no hassels... it was a very easy process. I will definitely order from you online again....... thanks for making my home beautiful!

It is heavier than most Duvet covers and it is very good quality and I think it will last longer than the thinner ones.
