Velvet Linen Windowpane Quilt & Sham
Our velvet has a truly unique texture and depth unrivaled by any other fabric. It is woven on an intricate double-piece loom - developed in 1832 - that creates two layers of fabric simultaneously, creating an ultrasoft cotton velvet quilt. Pure cotton velvet. Polyester batting. Quilted in a windowpane pattern. Quilt and sham reverse to solid linen/cotton blend. Sham has a zipper closure. Quilt, sham and insert sold separately. Machine wash. Imported.

I purchased the green and am very pleased. The size (CA King) is just right. This is a heavy quilt, but is perfect for this cooler season, although we really don't do seasons in California! The sham compliments the ensemble nicely.
I'm now getting ready to look for our Spring/Summer bedding!

I have been wanting this bedding for a few years now, I finally bought it an wouldn't take them back for anything. I love the way the quilt and shams feel and LOVE the way they look with several of my Pottery Barn duvets. I just wish Pottery Barn carried them year round!

Very nice comforter. Heavy velvet and well made. I would say the blue tends to be more of a gray blue and not as vibrant as it looks in the picture. I have not washed it yet to see how it launders. Overall I am pleased.

Yes, this whole bedding is an investment (for guest room), but I think it was worth it. The velvet adds a rich layer and dimension - love it!

I adore my quilt which I received for Christmas. I lay on top of it when the bed is made and it feels luxuriously soft. The color is beautiful!
Now the bad part! I got it for Christmas and about two months after.. I discovered all of the threads in the top quilting have just broken loose and all of the quilting is just coming out. When I discovered this, I am now afraid to wash it! as I am afraid any remaining threads in the quilting will all just break and come out! Im sad.. I actually bought another right after xmas and have not opened that one.. Also I did have to get used to the reverse side of velvet which is not soft at all.. feels like burlap..yikes.. still love it! lol

Has anyone washed this yet? I have the red and am so afraid that the color will bleed on the lining. I love this quilt and don't want to ruin it. The customer service rep assured me it was washable.

This is not how it appears in the advertisement. The top is a lovely velveteen material but the bottom is covered in a burlap type cotton. The rich material you experience on one side is completely opposite from the hard scratchy material on the other. If you want to fold back your quilt the look of the cotton is not complimentary at all. This quilt is going back to the store.

The color was perfect and of course the quality lived up to the Pottery Barn standards. I ordered a King size quilt and three standard size shams which form a perfect headboard. Friend saw it and said she is now going to order too.
