Sumner Extending Pedestal Dining Table
A round pedestal table is great for entertaining because it maximizes legroom while putting every guest within easy conversation range. Ours is reminiscent of mid-19th-century English pine furniture with its scrolling four-footed base and oversized ball turning. 48" diameter, 30" high; extends to 72" long. A 24" drop-in leaf transforms it from a circle to an oval, comfortably seating six people. Handcrafted with a kiln-dried wood frame. Finish is weathered and distressed to reveal its grain pattern and detailed with saw marks and cutouts for a vintage look. Wood swatches, below, are available for $25 each. One year old and still looks new

We've had this table for a year now and it gets heavy use in our breakfast room. Although the pine is soft and does dent easier than other woods, the finish on the table camouflages any marks and it still looks good as new!
Every person who comes to visit remarks on how lovely this table is - even men - without even noticing our more expensive pieces of furniture.
The lack of a hidden leaf is the only flaw, but I'm still so happy we made this purchase.

We was hoping the extended piece can be hidden as one table, but it has to be seprated and needed to placed away if no need to use

Great table

We are a young couple that just got married and bought a house, and we looked everywhere for a breakfast room table. This one is perfect. It seems very sturdy and made of great quality, so we hope it lasts through years with future children etc. We also got the Queen Anne chairs and love them!

Beautiful Country Kitchen Table

If you have a large kitchen and want a rustic look, this table is for you! We have oak cabinets, dark red mozaic tile kitchen flooring, and this table acheives the complimentary look I was hoping for. The top is similar to floor planking, and it is not a smooth and flat surface like most dining tables. I also purchased the Aaron side chairs. Everything is in rustic pine. The table and chairs allow a lot of room and comfort. I didn't purchase the chair pads because the chairs are really okay without them. I recommend that you purchase the chairs about a week before you expect to receive the table because the chairs arrive within 5 days of purchase as opposed to the table which can take up to 3 weeks. But, if you have a large kitchen and want a farm-like rustic look, one inviting good company and conversations, this is an excellent purchase.

I just received this table in the mahogany stain and it is gorgeous. The pictures online does not do it justice, it is more beautiful in person.

The perfect table!

I purchased this sumner table and chairs today. I was lucky my local Pottery Barn had it in stock. I took it home and assembled it myself, very easy! I love this table. The rustic pine is beautiful but subtle in my smaller dining space. It is solid and sturdy, I will enjoy it for many years to come.

This table showcases Pottery Barn quality at its best. The pictures online do not do it justice. The table is very heavy and extremely well made. It easily fits 4 chairs around it. I love the detail of the planks on the top of the table and the beautiful pedestal. I looked at a lot of tables before I purchased this one. I am so glad I decided on this table!

Table too rustic

The sumner pedestal extension table is the perfect size, but too rustic for my taste. The stain color was not to my liking either. I will not order furniture again on-line without actually seeing it in the store. My local PB did not have it in stock. In any event, I've returned the table to PB.

Great dining table!

I got this table with the Aaron chairs in Rustic Pine. It is beautiful and everyone loves the whole set. I have gotten so many compliments on this table!
