It's pretty. Thin leather.

This is a good looking piece for sure.
The leather on the buttons is gone on all but one.
Leather on top is scuffed, faded and not looking so hot.
We cleaned and maintained according to directions.
Of the many pieces of PB furniture in our home, this one is the only one to not hold up.

We tried a couple of different ottomans from various stores before buying this one. The other ottomans would arrive and look different than their online pictures, this one is exactly as pictured. This ottoman is a absolutely perfect! I wish we would have bought it sooner, it's beautiful!

Favorite piece in the house

We purchased this piece in Saddle Cocoa about 8 months ago and couldn't be more pleased. We use it as our coffee table, but have been pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is to put your feet up! Not to mention it is very kid friendly (no hard corners or surfaces)
One word of caution - I stupidly placed a woven tray on the ottoman and it scratched the leather :( I replaced it with a smooth alumnim tray that won't scratch or leave marks.

2nd Ottoman lost buttons AGAIN! DO NOT BUY!

This is the second ottoman and the buttons continue to pop off! They are poorly sewn into the ottoman. For this kind of price, they should stay on. The buttons are sewn on with light-weight thread that has NO possibility of staying on. I would not suggest buying this piece as the quality of craftsmanship is horrible. It looks good but wears poorly.

I'm happy with the purchase. The leather quality and color is very good. I would give it 5 stars except the buttons on the ottoman tend to collect dust and debris. This takes some effort to maintain. Overall a good quality piece.

Beautiful Ottoman - Worth the Money!

I have wanted this ottoman for years, and have always thought it to be too expensive. After years of looking for something similar in looks and quality, I finally realized that there truly is no comparison. The leather feels and looks rich, and I have no doubt that we will have this piece for years to come. We are currently using this in lieu of a coffee table in our family room, and the soft edges are an extra bonus, as we don't have to worry about our young children banging their heads on the corners. Honestly, worth the money.

Great as a Coffee Table

Purchased the rectangular ottoman in expresso two months ago to use as coffee table. Very good quality, looks great and seems durable. Does not scratch easily which was one of my fears in buying it. I was able to see what it looked like in the store but store had to order it and it took about 2 weeks to get here.

More than worth the money!!

I held out and tried to settle on something other than this ottoman to serve as a coffee table in our living room and I just couldn't. There were other things that I liked but I kept coming back to this! I finally decided to spend the money and order what I really wanted, I am thrilled that I did. It is beautiful, high-quality and durable. I did the same thing with our PB comfort collection too as far as holding out and saving for it. We have waited a bit longer to purchase some things but in the end, it was SO worth it because our house furnished with things that we truly love. Our little dream home is only about half-way done and we are enjoying the journey of completing it the we want it!

I have been stalking this ottoman for a long time in store and online. My husband and I decided to take the plunge and by it before Christmas. We can't stop marveling at how lovely and well made it is. It really ties our living room together. Can't wait to show it off over the holiday!

DON'T GET THE CAMEL COLOR

I have a living and dining room full of Pottery Barn furniture and was very pleased with the reviews I read about this ottoman; HOWEVER, they must have been discussing the saddle brown or expresso ottomans. This camel color shows every small mark brushed up against it. I cleaned it with ArmorAll Leather Wipes and the dye came off so now the leather is discolored. I am extremely disappointed!

Versatile, stylish piece

We bought this to use as a coffee table in our main living room. The leather is high quality and looks fantastic with our Pearce couches. We put a tray on it for drinks, etc. which is easy to move when we want to put our feet up.

Family Friendly!

We finally splurged and purchased this ottoman in the darkest color (which is quite dark; nearly black, but nice nonetheless). What a great purchase! We keep it in a relatively small living space (in front of our couch, across from fireplace and TV) and it serves so many functions: extra-seating during gatherings (we push it to the side of the room); foot rest; coffee table; and a puzzle-playing, book-reading, elbow-resting area for our 19-month old daughter. For those of you considering in-store pick-up: we picked this up ourselves from the store - it fit in the back of our Forester, seats down.

Bought the sullivan a few months ago and have so far been very happy. It is particularly good for houses with young kids as the kids can jump on, bounce off, etc with no injury. Standard coffee tables are problem with kids. Make sure to check that it fits in your room as it is not small, but it does look great. I have it gotten anything yet, but some sort of periodic leather cleaner is needed -- but nothing more than dusting elsewhere.

We have a little girl that is just getting ready to start walking and I needed a more head friendly coffee table. I looked for a while for the perfect one and should have known it would be from Pottery Barn. I have been told that my house looks like a PB catalog, so I guess I had to get something from one. Great quality, great color, I just love it!

Great piece--even works if you have cats!

I really wasn't sure how this would hold up with my two cats (who have back claws). This ottoman is great. Very high quality. When they do scratch it.. I rub in a leather conditioner and the scratch blends in a few day later. Not sure how b/c it doesn't work on my couch that they have trashed. Very nice soft leather ottoman. Makes the family room so much more comfortable.

Love this purchase!

We have had this ottoman for over a year and still love it! It is such great quality. If we scratch it, we just rub the scratch with our finger, and the scratches blend right in with the leather. It's still as supple as the first day we bought it, but I'm thinking it may need leather conditioning over time so the leather stays soft and doesn't crack. I have the PB large benchwright tray on top and there's still plenty of room to rest our feet off and it can lift right off for additional seating!

Very versatile piece

I bought this ottoman for my busy family room. I have two small children who love to sit and lie down on the piece. It is so soft, yet durable. It can be used for extra seating, as a footrest, or (with a pretty tray) as a coffee table. I know my kids won't injure themselves on this as they may on a hard, wooden table. My husband and I love to prop our feet up while on the sofa. In short, beautiful and functional!
