Spring Sparrow Duvet Cover & Sham
We translated the detailed illustrations of 19th-century field guides into a pigment-printed pattern full of life and color. Pure cotton percale. Plate numbers in graceful script recall the original ornithology books that inspired this design. Several species of sparrow, each on a different type of branch, create spring color. Duvet cover has a hidden button closure and interior ties to keep the duvet in place. Sham has an envelope closure; insert sold separately. Machine wash. Catalog / Internet only. Imported.

I love this duvet cover! I wanted something bright and cheery, and the songbirds & branches fit the bill! My only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the ironing required.

Really love this beautiful set

We purchased the Spring Sparrow Duvet Cover and Shams to update our bedroom for spring. The set has gorgeous color and an appealing design. We love the look of it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it wrinkles in the wash and needs to be ironed before going back on the bed.

I love my new Bird Duvet and Shams. They are really perfect! I only wish I knew what the numbers next to the Birds mean? Was there a description enclosed in the packaging I missed? I suspect it would give a Name to each Bird. Any Help on this would be awesome.

I bought the duvet cover and shams for the master bedroom in a new home. The print is beautiful with great color and detail. The different color birds go with many colors. The fabric is very high quality and it is beautifully made.
I highly recommend this product.

Charming pattern and very high quality. Love it! As I have raved about PB duvets before, I will repeat what I said for the others - love that the buttons are on the inside and that it washes w/o the colors fading.

I love PB bedding. I would agree that this one (same as many others from PB) need to be ironed. Still i keep buy them, because i love the quality, look, and how its feel. The only issue with this one is that duvet has many little black stripes at pattern, i believe they make them for even more deep color. However after first wash they start to rip off , and i find them all over my bed and bedroom, so i have to vacuum every other day, and even after several washes i still keep finding them. Few days ago i notice that my 6 month old son trying to put one of those stripes in his mouth!!! its good duvet, but bad idea with thoose stripes, or you should work on a quality.

Unattractive Design

This should be called a 'Spring Bird' pattern, as they aren't sparrows. I understand it's an artistic rendition, yet let's be honest. I returned this because I found the pattern unattractive, particularly the one illustration where the bird looked, well, tortured. For the sale price, the quality looked nice as did the representation of the colors. Not to my particular taste. The return process was easy and I like the fact that you can pay to have the item picked up at your home by UPS. Posted return to credit card seemed a little slow. For the right price, I would try another pattern from PB.

I love the design and colors in this duvet cover and shams. I bought it to use at our cabin and love the outdoor look. However it wrinkles miserably and if I wasn't using it at the cabin (as opposed to at home) and hadn't gotten the items on sale I would return them. When I washed the pieces the finish changed considerably and I was not even able to get all wrinkles out when I ironed them. (I did follow washing instructions) The duvet cover also wrinkles when used on the bed. Very disappointed!

Beautiful Birds, Art Quality Printed Cotton Fabric

So happy with this gorgeous sparrow set! The colors are so vibrant and cheery, and the birds are so life-like in this antique ornithological print! The printing process PB used is very rich, woven into the cotton fabric, so I can see this looking vivid and bright after many, many washings. Plus, this process makes the design stand out with an almost 3-D quality. The fabric is slightly thinner than I would prefer, but I still give the set 5 stars. The cotton is cool and smooth against the skin. It wrinkles, but the shams look smooth and fairly crisp in my plump pillows. A lovely, lovely design - Thank You!!!
