beware the drywall screws
April 13, 2012
This drape rod is fine, but beware the drywall screws. They are flimsy and I broke the tips off of three of them, (out of nine) imbedding them deep into the wall. I followed the enclosed instructions and turned them slowly, but all I saw was this thing chewing up the drywall, leaving a half inch hole in the wall. Fortunately the rod hanger covers that, but what if you need to move it? And what if you've broken the tip off of one and need to move it over to start a new hole? The ones that I actually got into the wall stick out too much and the rod hanger does not sit flush against the wall. My advice is to chunk the drywall screws that come with the rods and get a smaller, plastic one that isn't going to break off and leave a huge hole. This is not the first time I've ever installed drapery rods, either, so I know it's not a beginner's mistake.

Classic Design, Solid Construction
February 16, 2011
I bought this rod for hanging the Peyton Grommet Draperies. Because this rod has two extensions coming from either side of the rod, full strength is maintained in the center of the rod--unlike the cheaper rods which simply separate in the middle, causing those rods to lose strength and sag in the middle. Definitely a good purchase! Very happy with it.
