Pretty at first, Tarnished eventually

I am so disappointed as I just noticed the rope frame is now tarnished and does not respond to cleaner. I got one as a gift and loved it so I subsequently bought a bunch as engagement gifts. The rope frame is very pretty, initially. Now, it has a goldish tarnished tone and I tried cleaning it to no avail. I am very disappointed with the quality as they are not cheap. I am also embarrassed that I have given them as gifts thinking they were higher quality. I would expect more from pottery barn.

Can't hang on the wall? Seriously?

I bought four different beautiful silver frames from Pottery Barn yesterday to hang my wedding photos in, and this was one of them. When I got them home I was SO DISAPPOINTED when I realized my $50 frame was for table top only and didn't even have a hook on the back to hang it up. I'm so sad because the arrangement of photos in the different frames I got would have looked so gorgeous. I didn't even think to check because it has literally never happened that a frame I purchased didn't have both options. You would think dropping $50 for a 8x10 picture frame would be enough to have a multi-purpose frame... guess not. Even the store clerk was surprised that they were unhangable when I brought them back to return.

I have 1 5x7 on both bedside tables and I love them. The thing that I love the most is that it shows most of the picture unlike the other frames that I had which it would show more of the frame than the picture.

the item was a wedding gift so i never really saw it but very pretty in the picture. great to order wedding gifts from PB. this item was free shipping and they sent to the wedding couple. would use the registry again.

i usually don't buy expensive frames, but this shape was perfect for a pic i had...it really stands out next to my other silverplated frames! i'm actually going to get the 8x10 now.
