Washed Velvet Silk Quilt & Sham
Sewn with plush velvet on one side, smooth silk on the reverse, our quilted bedding doubles the comfort and style of your bed. The all-cotton velvet is enzyme washed for a matte texture and supremely soft hand. The sateen reverse is made from a blend of silk and cotton for breathability that's comfortable year-round. Pure cotton velvet. Pure cotton batting. Detailed with double-diamond stitching and edged with silk-cotton flanges. Reverses to solid silk/cotton. Both shams have button closures; inserts sold separately. Catalog / Internet Only. Imported.

Great pillow shams

I would have ordered the quilt too, if it were still available, but instead I mix and matched it with the silk/cotton channel quilt, both in praline. I have a king-sized bed, but I ordered 3 of the standard shams instead of two king-sized ones. It all looks great together with a duvet cover from last fall in a praline/vanilla print, and vanilla colored sheets.

LUXURIOUS QUILT, shams meh...

King size quilt, two standard shams in Dark Porcelain Blue. Extremely pleased with the quilt. It is excellent quality, has a good amount of heft, and I love the color. The silk side is extremely sleek, soft, and very soothing against skin. While the velvet side is equally decadent, its softness has more of a plush and cozy feel. Also, noted color dissimilarity between sides: velvet is darker and more deep, the silk is lighter and more silvery. The color remains very neutral. While still fundamentally blue, it has a nice balance of gray and teal that gives an atmospheric/soothing quality.
Concerns re:the long term durability of the "tack" style quilt stitching, as several threads have already broken. Lastly, should have gone with the euro shams when I had the chance, however, my design mistake and really of no consequence. Absolutely love this quilt! Even my very particular and stubborn BF was astonished. He also is extremely impressed and quickly enamored with this luxurious bedding.

Although I like the color (praline) as well as the fabric,
the washed velvet & silk sham did not work for its intended application. I sadly returned them.
I'm hopeful you will offer the washed velvet 20" throw pillows covers again, very soon.
I love velvet and having it available in a variety of colors is even better. I cant wait to see them offered again!

The color, blue, was quite faded and dreary. Didn't like.

My favorite bedding

This quilt is the perfect weight to use alone on winter nights. It is cotton and silk with cotton batting, so it breathes very well. I don't get hot or feel stuffy under this quilt unlike ones with polyester batting. I love it! If there were more colors available I would purchase it again!

I was a little disappointed with my washed velvet silk quilt shams. Although the fabric is soft and is a very good quality, the edging on the pillow has no support. Even if I ironed the edging, I couldn't get it to stand up like it does in the picture in the catalog.

I ordered this quilt for a winter look for our master bedroom, The blue color is restful and goes with other soft colors in the room. It's beautiful and very good quality.

I've looked at this bedding for some time online, then saw it in the store and couldn't resist. Duvets and comforters are too hot for us and a quilt was too lightweight for winter, so this bedding was the perfect solution. Looks gorgeous (ivory queen) and washed well in my front load washer. So happy and husband likes it as well.

I love this quilt! Each side has a slightly different sheen, which gives a little added interest when you fold the top down. The fabric appears very soft and nice quality. Despite the fairly light weight it has been very warm. Only consideration is that our cats will occasionally wrestle or scratch it a little so that I am afraid the stitching might come lose (hasn't yet that I've noticed). And we got the ivory color - which while it adds to the luxury feel in my opinion - does leave me threatening my children who are longing to eat their Halloween candy on it....it's not the most forgiving of colors!

I love this quilt!! It fits my king size bed perfectly. Washes very well...the silk border does get wrinkled but not a big deal. I purchased this in the ivory and so wish I had gotten the shams before they sold out. I got this for the sale price so feel like I got such a wonderful deal. I would highly recommend.
