Seagrass Chair
Incredibly durable, renewable, and rich in tonal variation, seagrass and abaca bring relaxed style to the dining room. 19" wide x 22" deep x 36" high Color variations are inherent in the natural plant fibers used in our seagrass collection. The result may be differences in color tone from that shown. Beautifully built with handwoven natural fiber over a solid beech frame. Features a comfortable, reinforced foam-padded seat. Honey has honey-stained legs and is woven of seagrass. Havana Dark has mahogany-stained legs and is woven of abaca. Sealed with two coats of clear lacquer for moisture resistance. Love these chairs

I purchased 6 of these chairs to go in my dining room. I already had two counter height stools at the bar in the kitchen and thought I would make both rooms look cohesive. I placed my order on a Sunday and the chairs were delivered on Tuesday. That was not expedited shipping, just typical ground delivery. The chairs are very heavy, unlike some of the imposters out there. I love the texture they add as I have a wood top table and wood floors; they provide a nice contrast. Also, because the seagrass is multi-toned, they go well with a variety of woods. I also have four wood Pottery Barn chairs and I found I can mix and match with both my dining room and kitchen tables.

These chairs added the texture and interest needed for the dining room. They are pretty comfortable, well built but not suited for tall or larger bodies.

Still Beautiful but I get splinters from them!

I love the way these look. I've had them (also purchased 4 matching bar stools) for about 5 years now. They still look great but two things you should know about them. One, they are a little hard to clean with kids. You have to vacuum the crumbs from the groves or turn them upside down and lightly pat the seat to let crumbs fall to floor so you can sweep up. The second thing is that I've started poking myself and getting splinters from them. Not difficult to remove splinters but just little slivers that hurt. I think I'd still purchase though because they are beautiful. And I find them comfortable. More so than any hard wood chair. (And another pro is that I have two little boys and never had a stain like if I'd had cloth chairs or cloth cushions. They've spilled ketchup, sauce, etc. on them and they wipe up (or it dries and I scrape off easily.)

had some trouble

I purchased these chairs for my sunroom - 4 table chairs and 2 barstools. They are beautiful - can go either formal or casual. They do crinkle for a while when you first sit on them, I think they have a heavy shellack, but it dissipates over time. My real issue is the quality of the woven fibers. I've returned 2 chairs already because some of the woven pieces of the actual chair were broken, cracked or stuck out. I've gotten a third chair now and it, too, still has some broken fibers and cracked places! I got tired of boxing them back up to return them (and waiting for them to send a new one), so I'm just going to make do with this last one, but for what these chairs cost, you'd think they could do a little better on the workmanship. I originally thought it was UPS because the box was banged up, but by chair #3 I think it's just how the chairs themselves are made. Disappointed in

Really love this chair and it's versatility of design. The weaving holds up well. However, this is the 2nd chair of a set of 8 I have had to replace in 8 yrs. The legs are made of a composite material, not solid wood. Back legs have broken on 2 chairs.
As usual, Pottery Barn ordering and shipping were the best!

I purchased this chair for my desk! Its looks great but gives a little when you sit in it and I usually lay a towel or blanket in the seat if Im wearing a skirt or shorts b/c the seagrass makes indention on the back of my legs and its a little uncomfortable! I also have the havanna baskets with lids for additional storage, waste basket and magazine basket and this chair matches it all well and really pulls it all together!

I was extremely disappointed with these chairs. I had high hopes because they looked so nice, but they are extremely uncomfortable. I have had them for almost a year and my husband complains that they squeak when you sit in them and move. I was going to exchange them, but just never did.

I ordered four of these chairs to go with the Trivoli table. My husband is incrediably picky about furniture and it MUST be comfortable!! These chairs were a big hit with him. They do make some noise at first but after some use that is no longer an issue. I have a 2.5 year old son and was worried food would get stuck forever in the chair. If needed, I just tip the chair over and all the crumbs come out. I think they are wonderful. They add texture to your room and are very comfortable. I have recieved many compliments on them:)

I bought 8 of the seagrass chairs (darker color) for my formal living room and I absolutely love them. They are even more beautiful in person than in picture. I do have to admit that I was concern about how comfortable they were going to be; however, they turn out to be really comfortable. I'm so happy with my chairs; they look really beautiful and elegant. Great purchase.

I love these chairs! Their color (I purchased the darker color) pulls the room together. The multiple colors of browns in these chairs, has made all of the other wood pieces in the room make sense. I use the seagrass chair as an occasional chair pulled up to my desk in the kitchen. It's comfortable and the wonderful texture makes it a great accent in the room.

I love Pottery Barn.....my whole house is furnished by them. However, these chairs were the worst purchase I ever made. If you have kids, do not buy. I am sweeping seagrass off the floor everyday. The chairs are not durable and the seagrass cracks easily. I have the chairs and barstools....the barstools have held up better.

I love these chairs!!! I have had my eye on these babies for 7 months and I finally got a 15% off email discount so I bought 4! They came assembled, we simply took them out of the box and sat on them! I love them, they make me smile everytime I look at my table!
