Terrible Quality

I purchased this item as a Christmas gift. When it arrived the front was severely scratched the leather was well below the quality suggested by the price point. This item is a terrible value.

I ordered this and was so thrilled with it for the first 3 weeks. You could tell it was a very well made product. It had the leather look, feel and smell. I had tried cheaper iPad cases in the past and could tell you get what you pay for. I took this with me to my sons house and it got rain drops on the outside cover from the car to the house. I did as recommended and wiped with a dry cloth. It left smear spots and it looked as if it had been painted and the paint wiped off. I called customer service and they are sending me another one. I am returning my first one and maybe they can research the making process and find out what happened. Customer service was very helpful and apologized. I hope this does not happen to the next one I receive. I hesitate to give this such a poor rating but will send another review after the second one.

I am very impressed with the quality of this iPad case. The leather is beautiful with a rich texture and the craftmanship is very nice as well. This definitely is the nicest I have seen, and I looked awhile before purchasing. It is less expensive than many others but the quality is much nicer.

Attractive at first and then you find out that the leather is not sealed. It discolors, even after handling carefully. I have already had to take to a shoe repair to correct this problem.

Gorgeous but disappointing...

I loved, loved this tablet case...until I put my ipad in it. The lid does not lay closed and there is no latch or snap or other mechanism to keep it closed. It kind of looks exactly like it is displayed in the picture...all the time. Just a poor design flaw. If you don't think this would bother you, it is a high-quality and gorgeous leather case. It could be kept closed with a thick elastic hair band, but we ultimately decided that it cost too much for a homemade remedy. Do wish I could have kept it though.

I gave this to my future son in law for his IPad and he absolutely loved it! Was very impressed with the quality. When he took it out of the box, the rich smell of fine leather filled the room! He told me it fits the IPad perfectly. He loved the initial monogram as did my daughter who is excited about changing her name in two weeks!

One drop of water and the finish is ruined. Was walking from car to inside when a drop of water dropped on my cover. When I wiped it off immediatley (on my shirt) the leather stain color transfered from the cover to my shirt. Unlike most pottery barn products I am Not impressed with the quality of this item.

Love case, disappointed with monogram!

Leather quality excellent and love stand up feature. Disappointed with monogram : picture on web locks like an embossed gold monogram. Actual monogram looks cheap; monogram cutout of leather so cardboard background shows --- cheapens the look and quality!!!!

This is a poorly designed and cheaply made case. The leather looks cheap and feels more like plastic. The straps block the power button and the groove for the camera partially obstructs the view.
Very disappointed with this tablet case. Would NOT recommend spending any amount of money on this.

The Cover is a beautiful leather and I was very excited to purchase it for my son's birthday. However, the product description stated that it fit the iPad2. My son loved the cover but when he put the iPad2 in, it does not fit properly. The iPad is off center in the cover - the cut-outs do not line up properly and it can not be closed. I have to return it. Very disappointed.

Bought this for my husband who commutes to the city with his iPad. Great looking case. Great holder for standing the case up on the desk. Took a while to figure out exactly how it works to hold the iPad up (Trued folding it all different ways), but once we got it, we loved it!

I purchased this case for my husband for Christmas. I love the professional look and the ability to monogram it. However, be very careful removing the tissue it is wrapped in. Ours had tape applied directly to the leather and when I pulled off the tissue the tape pulled off some of the color on the front cover. Since I did have it monogrammed, I couldn't return it. I was very disappointed with this but was able to fix it a little with some brown shoe polish.
