Hand-spun jute is braided, then wound and stitched in a spiral to form this sustainably harvested jute rug that highlights the fiber's natural color variations. Crafted of sustainably harvested jute, a fast-growing, renewable natural fiber. Due to the natural fiber used to create our rug, slight variations in color should be expected. I love this round, jute rug! It can be dressed up or down, depending on style of the room. Unlike other rough jute rugs, this one feels great on bare feet. I have it under my kitchen table and it does not show dirt!!

I really love this rug. The shape is perfect for our mudroom and it looks nice on the hard wood floor with painted white cubbies. The reason why I give it 4 stars, instead of 5, is because the fibers are starting to pull out. Must be from my heels or vacuuming. We have only had the rug for 4 weeks so will need to keep an eye on this.

Warm and cozy feel!

Love this rug! Waited 2 years and finally gave in and purchased it.
I have a round black table and chairs set. It's nice and thick - great texture. Gives my kitchen a very warm and cozy feel.
Worth the money !!!

Love the look and the color. The only problem is, I've only had it a month and it is wearing and fraying a lot. I hope it holds up.

I have been looking for months for the "perfect" rug for my sitting room area, off of my kitchen. This rug is great for the shape and size of the room, and has a very soft feel to it. (I wasn't sure what a jute rug would feel like underfoot!). I LOVE IT! Thanks PB!

I am very pleased with my recent purchase of an area rug for my dining room. Not only is the quality of the rug excellent but I received it within a short time after ordering it. I love this rug! I needed an 8' round rug for my kitchen. My table is 36"D and round, so an 8' round rug was needed so when people are sitting at the table, all 4 legs of the chairs remain on the carpet. This rug is substantial in thickness and suprisingly soft considering the material it is made of. It feels good underfoot to barefeet while having breakfast in the mornings. Grossout alert: The dog threw up on it and it cleaned up very easily with mild soap/water and did not leave any stain! I highly recommend the rug. I am also pleased with the sale price because I consider it a great value considering the material, weight and size of the carpet. Also, it doesn't need a rug pad under it.

I was disappointed with this rug. Mine arrived soaking wet and very dirty as one other reviewed noted. It came this way from the factory. It was also torn in one area.
After I dried it out for a week, I laid it out in the kitchen. It is much thicker than pictured and mine was light in the center and very dark through the outer portion of the rug. Not a more uniform color with some variation, as the catalog shows.
It really is not the same as pictured in the catalog and I will be sending it back.

I recommend taking advantage of the sample swatch (not avaialble when I bought the rug) to see if this is something you'd like before placing the order. I have a feeling that a lot of these rugs are returned, which is probably why they just started offering a sample swatch.

Just what we wanted!

I looked everywhere for a round rug of this size, and was pleased to find it at Pottery Barn. It is thick and sturdy, and really soft underfoot! It looks so good against my hardwood floors, too, adding texture and depth, but not a competing pattern. A few little tufts have lifted, but I think I could either trim them or tuck them back in. Very pleased.

I have been ogling this rug for a long time, yet now I can't imagine why I waited so long. The 6' rug is perfect on our restored wood floors and it so soft.
I expected to like it, yet I love it. It isn't scratchy at all and we get compliments on the appearance all of the time.
Plus, I had an amazing customer service rep on the phone, which doesn't always happen, even with PB.

Flimsy and sheds, afraid it won't last much longer

Poor quality! There are too many frayed knots visible and it sheds so badly that I am screaming at the kids not to sit on it! (especially before we head out some where) If they do, they are covered from head to toe in jute hairs! It's worse then pet hair! My sweeper vac just broke and I believe this is the reason why! It's very hard to clean! I thought it was such a great buy and was so excited about it...just really disappointed... the only pro is that it looks good!

I was contemplating buying this rug for a while but debated it due to the shape and material, but I am so glad I bought it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is much softer than I expected it to be. I love the look of it, it gives a casual feel to my dining space that I was looking for and I love the round shape. My only complaint is that it some of the fibers have lifted already. It doesn't bother me, I think it still looks nice, but it might bother some else.

We love this as it warms up the room - it sits on hardwood floor. It does have some ends that stick up but hoping it does not unravel. I hope Pottery Barn keeps this around as I may buy another for another room!

Love the large weave of this rug. It has a nice "heavy" look to it. The rug came rolled up but laid perfectly flat within a short time. I am using this under a table. Very happy with my purchase.

Not what I needed for designated space

After receiving the rug, which was an okay rug, it just did not fit in the space where I was going to use it and it was much too thick for my purposes.
