Finish does not match
February 7, 2013
I don't know if the hardware for the Quinn products are made by different manufacturers but the finish of the oil rubbed bronze did not match the finish of the oil rubbed bronze for the towel rack and other hardware. My husband and I were very disappointed.

Difficult to install
December 15, 2012
I would think a store as elegant and as expensive as Pottery Barn would include templates with their mechandise. The lack of one, made this project almost impossible.
Also, the mirror does not hold in the neutral upright position - it crashes forward so that the bottom of the mirror hits the wall. We had to add two rubber washers to the finials to hold the mirror in the upright position.
I thought a 'pivot' mirror meant you could move it to the position you desire while shaving, putting on makeup etc. Instead, without the washers it falls forward.

Bath
August 8, 2012
The mirror itself is abosiltely beautiful and classic. We love the way it looks but it isn't functional because it doesn't stay where you pivot it. It was also not an easy installation due to needing to replace items in the provided hardware.
The major problem is the mounting hardware is cheap and inappropriate for a mirror this heavy. It's completely under engineered. The toilet paper holder from the Quinn collection came with the same mounting technology which is adequate for a light weight toilet paper holder.
Some of the problems we encountered are the screws provided are so cheap the head sheared off one, the Allen wrench provided was too small and flimsy it kept bending when needed during the installation process. Also, the hidden screws on the mirror to adjust the pivot don't tighten enough to maintain the desired position of the mirror.
The mirror has more of an oil rubbed bronze appearance compared to the other antique bronze Quinn accessories.

Horrible Mouting Kit Caused Mirror to Fall
October 10, 2011
The mounting screws supplied with this mirror are not sufficient to hold a mirror of this size when mounted in dry wall. We had our mirror mounted with the kit provided in our bathroom and within 1 year of purchasing it the mirror had fallen off the wall as the screws had pulled out of the drywall. I would recommend purchasing some toggle bolts or similar as the drywall mounting screws provided are only rated for 30 pounds.

my renovated bathroom
September 15, 2011
In April our house was heavily damaged by the storms in TN. We used almost the entire Quinn family of products in our new master bathroom and it looks so beautiful. It is my favorite room in the house. The Quinn Beaded Pivot Mirrors over the vessel sinks were the perfect choice and by using the other products in the line the bathroom has a cohesive feel. Thanks Pottery Barn !
