Out of this world idea but item showed up damaged!
January 3, 2013
I saw this and had to order it as the perfect gift for a jet setter bartender! Concept is great, stainless steel, very artistic and practical. Unfortunately the item showed up with scratches on the base and wear/patina around the rim of the shaker/cap! This wear def did not go with the "stainless steel" sleek look and left me (and the recipient) a bit displeased with the quality of the piece. Like I said, great concept, better execution (or s&h maybe?) next time please pottery barn.

Great gift for Aviator
November 7, 2012
I purchased this martini shaker for my husband's birthday... He couldn't be happier. I had his call sign engraved on the side & it looks perfect. The airplane's front comes off (is purely decorative)... And underneath is a typical shaker with the small cap & strainer pour spout. The shaker stands upright on the tail fins. The props do spin, too! The base is pretty heavy & the shaker is fairly light. It is a little bottom-heavy due to the fins... so it won't balance on the stand without the strainer lid on. It looks great sitting on our bar, you would never know it is a shaker. It looks more like a piece of art! Very retro cool. We love it... and the martinis are really good too :)
