Static Only in Headset

Phone does not work, when answering the phone we hear static only in headset, poor quality, this should be a working phone very disappointed in this product - you can not hear the caller, only static, this was how the phone was working upon receipt, it never worked

Bought this when old PB Phone wasn't working. Returned. Found the new "old' phone design kind of awkward. Fortunately found the old phone simply needed a new connector wire.

no subjectivity on design but facts on technical operations. Don't buy it. Low grade internal parts that produced poor sound quality and then eventually stopped working altogether within 6 months.

Beautiful, but static issues

These are beautiful phones, and exactly what I was looking for. I've had them for about a year now (2 black ones), and like others have mentioned, I've had issues with static, although they do still work. I bought them to actually use them, but maybe they were intended to be more decorative? Hopefully the static/sound quality issue will be addressed with the future versions of these phones. They're a great concept, wonderful looks, and I'd love for the kinks to get worked out.

Bought this phone for the retro style which is great, tried to put it to work by actually using it...that's when the issues started. Worked ok at first....then after a few months too much static to hear anything and now starting to not hear the other person on the line at all. Horrible. Save your money, this phone is a waste.

Looks Great But Suddenly Stopped Working

I really love the look of this phone. It has a great retro style and I've wanted one for quite a while. I've owned it for a little over a year and it suddenly stopped working. Well the ringer still works, so we know we're getting a phone call, but that's about the end of it. If I were the only person who had this problem I wouldn't have commented, but I'm not the only one. I honestly don't recommend buying it unless you're so happy to part with your money that you aren't bothered by the risk. Frankly I expected more from Pottery Barn.

nice looking phone but should be able to change phone cords when you would like to or phone is not good any more. the cord is not replaceable

One small flaw...

I love the look of the phone. It is exactly what I expected but there is one flaw. The receiver hook slides left to right and does not rest in the middle to keep the receiver pressed down completely.

THIS PHONE IS GREAT! IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE AN OLD FASHIONED PHONE, BUT WORKS LIKE A NEW ONE. IT HAS A GREAT OLD SOUNDING RINGER. THE PHONE WAS A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT WELL WORTH IT!

I love, love, love this phone! Very heavy duty, nice look and feel. The ringtone even has a vintage sound. I would highly recommend this phone.
