Simple and pretty

This is a simple and pretty fireplace screen. The first one we got was shipped with the wrong hardware but PB shipped a new one out quickly. Considering you can see the screws and the welds are exposed, I was a little dissappointed but kept it anyway. Its a little pricey but coordinates in our family nicely.

I purchased the combo log holder and fireplace tool set. It came assembled and is just what I was looking for. It is heavy duty and attractive - I'm very pleased with my purchase.

The $139.00 Fireplace screen that cost $270.99

I ordered the fireplace screen on 1/12/2012 and received it on 2/23/2012 because I live in Germany and Pottery Barn would not ship it directly to me. So I had it sent to my Stateside address where it cost me an additional $97.79 to ship it to Germany! The screen itself cost $139.00 plus $34.20 to ship to my Stateside address. So, I spent as much on shippingit as I did on the original price.
It looks great, as I knew it would, up against our stone and white wood-burning fireplace in the sunken living room, but the screws were so tight that we couldn't get them all the way through using our screwdriver and muscles, so the screen wobbles whenever we touch it and I have to take it to a local store and have them use an electric screw driver to secure the screws.

Originally was excited to see that this screen would fit my fireplace exactly. When I got it I learned that the measurement on the website are wrong and it's only 31" high. In addition the instructions on how to put it together are wrong. It tells you to put the legs on backwards. (Something that is also different from the photos on the website.) Also the doors are supposed to stay closed with a magnet yet one of the doors kept swinging open because the magnet wasn't strong enough. Overall so dissapointed yet customer service was awesome as always! I called right away and they got UPS out here the next day to pick it up with free return shipping. I wish they would fix the dimensions on the website so no body else gets false hope that it will fit their fireplace!

The first one I ordered had a severely damaged screen. The replacement legs did not match up with the holes in the frame and could not be assembled. Finally gave up on a product that had the looks I wanted.

We searched online for a classic fireplace screen and tool set that would be durable and look great in our family room for years to come. The pricing of these products are great compared to those comparable items online. We would have to pay twice as much on other stores websites. This tool set is very durable, and looks great too. We did not buy the single screen for our fireplace but we did purchase the triple screen and would recommend that as well.
