It is the perfect size to act as the center for a large art wall highlighting beach birds and shells. Pottery Barn can be counted on every time to find exotic pieces to take a decorative touch to the next level!

I really like the way this oversized sand dollar looks in my bedroom. It is well constructed and gives both dimention and texture to the wall. I didn't want just another picture, and this fit perfectly.
The directions and hardware that are packaged with the wall hanging are both fine. I did have problems putting the sand dollar up as it is curved. It is impossible to line up the wall screws as you cannot see or get you hand behind the wall hanging to guide the hanger on the backside to the screws. I finally got it, but swore I'd not take it down until I moved!

I looked at this Oversized Sand Dollar for a while and am very happy with my decision to purchase it. I am hanging it in my bathroom to continue the ocean theme I have created. It's quite unusual and realistic looking.

Perfect Mantel Accessory

This sand dollar is now the focal point of my summer mantel decor. I was looking for something dramatic, and this piece certainly fulfilled my goal. I placed it in the middle of the mantel (leaning against the brick background of the fireplace) between a summer dahlia/cosmos botanical (also from Pottery Barn!) on the right and a set of three varied height candlesticks with pillar candles on the left. I'm very pleased and received many compliments. I will look forward to using this item each summer for years to come.

We were looking for something to augment the beach theme in our entry way and this oversized sand dollar was perfect. My wife normally likes to pick out these pieces in person, but after reading the many positive reviews on it, we went for it and bought it. We were pleasantly surprised by the light weight, that makes it easier to hang. Everyone that sees it always want to know where we bought it, so that they can get one, too. That's when I tell them that I made it myself....just kidding!

I originally purchased this sand dollar to place above my mantle on my fire place, but, once I got it, I saw it was meant for my dining room. It's an amazing conversation piece for dinner parties and says "nautical" without being too in your face.

I love the sand dollar! Thank you to the people who left comments about the sand dollar not being “level,” because that’s the first thing I checked (it’s the slots in the back that determine the levelness). If you don’t want the sand dollar to be “tilted” to the left or right once it’s hung: Pay attention to where you’re putting the screws in the wall, so that when the screws are aligned with the slots in the back of the piece, your piece is “level.”
I LOVE this piece! I hung it above my bed on a dark yellow wall, and it looks gorgeous. The yellow-ish tones on the sand dollar blend very well with my wall. Regarding the comments about this piece being too light-colored, or too “vanilla”: Yes, the piece is very light in color, just like a bleached sand dollar. I found the color and texture fairly true to the pictures on the website. It’s white, not sand-colored. What makes this piece stunning is its understatedness. Purchase this and you will not be disappointed.

I have been wanting this sand dollar for some time and finally purchased it for our bedroom. I was so impressed with the quality and overall size of this item. At first I thought it would be too big to hang over our headboard but it fit the wall space perfectly and looks fantastic. I have received many compliments on it. I would love to purchase more of these and place them all over our house because I like it that much. It makes such a beautiful statement on its own that one is all you need.

This is exactly what we wanted. It's amazing. My husband had been looking for one and thought he would have to have someone make a mold and then make the sand dollar. I found this on Google search and it is beautiful and unique. We love it.

Well now that it is up, I can say I love it. Pb should provide a template and longer screws that can accommodate the curvature of the sand dollar. Our hangers that were attached to the back of the sand dollar, were crooked and it took my husband an engineer some time to get all the variables correct. Possibly a single attached hanger would eliminate the trouble....

I was so excited to get this for my daughters room, which has a beach theme. When it arrived I immediately hung it with the instructions and hardware included. Sadly, the mount on the back of the sand dollar was crooked in turn allowing the sand dollar to hang crooked....There was no way to straighten it out unless I kept screwing holes in the wall until it was straight, which wasn't worth it...Sand dollar was returned. So disappointed.

The sand dollar is great, but the hanging device attached to hang the sand dollar was very difficult to use.
