I was appauled at how poorly this item functions. I typically make purchases from Pottery Barn expecting a higher level of quality. The peice does ot fit properly over the door and there is no way to adjust it. The mirror does not sit flushly in the bracket provided. I had to go to a local harware store and purchase a completely new bracket system.

This mirror is pretty, but it made it so I could not use my closet door. Between the bottom half banging and swinging into the knob and the hardware making the door not close, I am returning this.

I love this mirror. Excellent quality. The reflection is clear without distortions. It's a great accent piece and very functional. Wonderful specially for the bath or bedroom. For those that enjoy good quality will love this mirror:)

The mirror works well over my closet door. Simple and effective. The only recommendation that I have is to use velcro to secure the bottom to the door.

the problem is the weight isn't enough to keep the mirror secured. We had to remove the hook and padding on the back and secure it with clips. It is a beautiful mirror now.

I bought this over the door mirror and it serves its purpose while looking very stylish. I was aware of the banging against the door as others have been reporting so I was prepared of it as soon as the product arrived. I purchase some scotch heavy duty double side mounting tape along with some velcro strips beforehand and utilize them both to fasten the mirror to the door while giving it a soft cushion, it worked like a charm. Just thought I’d give a review so other can have an idea how to solve the banging problem.

I bought this for my daughter's wedding day so she could see herself full length. I am more than pleased with how it looks. Only complaint: it bangs slightly on the door when the door is opened or closed.

The idea is a good one, but the quality of the actual mirror is poor and distorted. Product has nice bevel, and good hanger, but the image is not true. I would have returned it if it could be taken to a local store. I can not recommend this product.

"Great hanging Mirror" for a small bedroom

Great mirror...hangs just like the picture. Does wonders for a small room. A little costly after tax, shipping and processing charge...a reasonable $199.00 for the mirror turned into $261.00. Don't think its worth that but too late...once it arrived it would be a difficult item to return.

I love the idea, however, it is heavy and makes the door drag, the over the door hook does not let you close the door (to thick), when you open or close the door the mirror swings back and hits...we love the mirror it is very nice but after a while it becomes anoying....

Makes all look fat like a sideshow mirror -packaging was good but as always way to much foam that one cant get rid of.

I was delighted to finally find a mirror to hang from my bedroom door, the only place where one would fit well. And I have many Pottery Barn products and love them. So I was very disappointed, after unpacking everything, having the mirror professionally installed, discarding all the packaging and cleaning the mirror for a good look, to find that it is incredibly distorting! I tried to get used to it but, after several weeks, find it virtually useless for evaluating how clothes look, or how I look... the entire point! I don't have the packaging anymore and it is heavy and complicated to pack securely.... and I now have little faith that a replacement will be any better. What to do....?????

The concept of this mirror is great because you can move it around to different rooms and not make permanent holes in your wood. Mine showed up defective with the silvering not completely going to the edge so there are dark patches on the perimeter. I notice that the mirror flops back and forth when you open and close the door so I am going to try and figure out a way to secure it. If I can't, I will probabaly return it.
