I purchased these shades to pair with Gillian lamp bases. I love the textured look of the shade and it pairs very well with the silver lamp bases - would definitely recommend!

New life for my old lamps!

My 25+ year old bedside lamps were still sporting their original pleated shades (which were brittle and looking pretty bad), but I'm not much of a decorator and wasn't sure if I wanted to just get new lamps altogther.
But since I needed to use up a PB rewards certificate before it expired, I went ahead and opted for these new shades, and.... WOW!! They made a HUGE difference in the appearance and lighting in our bedroom. It looks GREAT and I am very pleased.
This is a good all-around lampshade, very versatile. The pair made my old lamps look like new again, and were a wonderful improvement to my home.
My only regret is that I didn't buy them sooner!

I bought this lampshade to replace an old one that came with a lamp I had bought in Spain. I had been looking everywhere and finally found this one that goes perfect. I like quality and design. I recommend it without any doubt.

great looking lamp shade

I hate buying lamp shades site-unseen, but I took a chance on this and it paid off in a great way. I had an old brass swing-arm lamp that was hugely functional but had a very outdated look. I painted the lamp with oil bronze spray paint and replaced the pleated silk shade with this one. Looks like a brand new, current-style lamp. The shade is a perfect medium-sheer...cannot see the light bulb through the fabric. Very neutral color, will go with almost any beige/brown/tan color in the decor. It arrived faster than expected and I am very happy with my purchase.

It's not as formal as a linen shade and not as casual as a burlap shade. It's perfect for just about any room! I just wish it was offered in a smaller size.

This shade is unique and attractive. I have an old crock that has been converted to a lamp & the shade looks great. It took me while to find the right size & I don't understand the return policy ( you have to call & get authorization ) but the merchandise is terrific.

This shade transformed our lamp and bedroom decor. Simple changes make a big difference, and we didn't need to buy a whole new lamp, since the lamp itself was still nice. Thanks for a great product!

I am an Interior Designer and Lighting Designer. I love the cleverness of all your accessories. I also collect pewter. Your current antiqued nickel finish is fantastic. I have the flatware and pitchers on order! All your items are timeless! Favorites for everyone.
The closest PotteryBarn is in Chicago or Indianapolis. Sometimes if I need a "feel good day", I drive to your store and go nuts and buy! When I design a table lamp I know I can buy a unique and quality shade from you. All my daughters furniture is from PotteryBarn. I plan on buying furniture this summer from your store. Sorry but I could go on and on. Thank you for everything!

I like the looks of the shade but when the light is on the bottom band is uneven and shows. When the light is off its nice looking.

Very nice with the mercury glass lamps which I also ordered from PB. These, unlike the burlap shades, are lined, if that's the look you're going for.

For being a natural fiber shade, they're quite elegant and liven up the room a bit. I paired the set I bought with antique silver lamps. I'm a fan.

I bought 3 of these shades to replace the white shades that came with 3 glass/chrome lamps to make them less modern/cold and they warmed them right up. Each shade is slightly different because some fibers are thicker than others or a slightly different color but I like that. They are great shades at a good price.

I bought two of these shades for vintage glass lamps filled with shells for my beach home. They worked perfectly. These shades are a great value, good quality and priced well below the same shades at high end home decor retail stores. I was so pleased with these shades that I am about to order two more!

Would have preferred straight line rather than tapered. The shade was packed very well before shipping, but arrived with a big dent/crease in it.......indicating that it was damaged before it was put in the box.
