Napoleon(R) Upholstered Chair
Skilled artisans craft each Napoleon(R) Upholstered Chair from solid hardwood, sanding and staining the frames by hand. The cushioned seat removes easily and can be reupholstered with our Fabric by the Yard (sold separately). Side Chair: 20.5" wide x 19.5" deep x 37" high Armchair: 23" wide x 21" deep x 37" high Expertly crafted from solid kiln-dried hardwood with a curved backrest and a padded upholstered linen seat. Wood swatches, below, are available for $25 each. We will provide a merchandise refund for wood swatches if they're returned within 30 days. Catalog / Internet Only.

I am in love with these chairs! I purchased the Ashford dining table a few years ago then (to my shame) thought I would save money by seeking out lower priced chairs elsewhere. After tolerating chairs I absolutely hated, I finally bought the chairs I really wanted (the ones that match my table, by the way) and love them. I actually purchase one two years ago to match the Graham secretary/hutch combo I bought (my whole house is full of Pottery Barn stuff!) so already knew they would be attractive and comfortable. They look amazing around my table and instantly upgraded my pretty dining room to beautiful. They are so well made that I know they will last for years. I am never settling for less than Pottery Barn quality again. I am really glad they still had them available. If you want polished, classy style mixed with a down to earth modern look, get these chairs immediately!

Chair for the dwarf family

Thai chair is so uncomfortable and very small in size. My family is a normal weight family, but chairs that come made for tiny people, I gess they will be good for the dwarf family.

A Disappointment

I loved the styling of this chair and the fact I could take off the seat and recover it with my own fabric. I knew the paint on the chair would have a slight distressing to it but the left hand top area of the chair was distressed so much that it there was a large patch with absolutely no paint on it at all! Kind of a turn off. Then the worse part was that the chair wasn't even that comfortable! The chair for the price was really a disappointment.

Handsome Chair, Hard Seat

I bought the Napoleon (R) Upholstered Chair to use with the Ava Desk. They look attractive together but the chair is not comfortable for sitting in for any length of time. The seat is deep enough from front to back that my feet do not touch the floor. The seat cushion is extremely firm. I've added a back pillow and a lumbar support pillow to the soften the chair back and that helps. It's a great looking chair but I may need to have it reupholstered with more cushioning in the seat to make it comfortable enough to use at my desk for any length of time.

I purchased four chairs to replace my existing kitchen chairs. They are high quality and look great although they are much smaller then I expected. They could use about a 1/2 inch to the height and width. Almost perfect!

The chairs look just perfect in our kitchen, and we have really loved them!
When purchasing, just know that the seat size is on the smaller size, and of course, my friend spilled some red wine on the linen within two days of purchase, and my cleaner discolored the linen slightly, but it is hardly noticeable.
We have gotten lots of compliments from neighbors as well.

A very nice chair

I bought the napoleon chair in white to replace our kitchen chairs which had really taken a beating with 3 kids. They match our existing table and white woodwork trim well, and I had the seats covered in the same fabric as our nook bench for a nice matching look. Can't comment on how hard changing the fabric was as I had my decorator do it. I think if you have a power stapler, it would go quickly. They seem well-constructed, but have only had them about a month, so can't say how durable they are.

It is comfortable, comes well packages already assembled (big plus b/c I can't do any assembling) Looks just like the picture. Got it for my home office desk and it's my favorite chair in the house.

Wonderful, comfortable chairs

We love our new Napolean Upholstered Chairs. Look great with our new dining table.
Was less than thrilled by UPS delivery as they left the chairs in boxes on our front porch- no notification!

I originally ordered the arm chair to use with the Bradford desk - unfortunately the antique whites are different colors and the chair has a butter yellow hue to it. The arm chair was not very wide to sit in - got narrower towards the back. I returned it and got the side chair. Same issue - the antique whites do not match and this chair is not very comfortable. The seat itself (upholstered part) is quite small - I felt like I was sitting in a kid's desk chair. The seat is also very hard and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this chair as an adult chair.

I have an old table which has a pedestal that is narrow so chairs are difficult to find. These chairs fit perfectly and look great. I'm super happy with the quality.

durable chairs

i ordered two napoleon upholstered chairs as "add -ons" to a table & 4 chair set that is not from PB. These napoleon chairs match almost perfect. I am pleased.

To Use as a Desk Chair

I have been so happy with this chair. I am using it as a desk chair and it is perfect. I would not hesitate to buy more or even a different style from Pottery Barn should the occasion arise. Thanks for this quality product.
