Lit Mercury Glass Globe
Light up our mercury-glass globes to impart a halo of warmth and good cheer. For an illuminated centerpiece that shines brighter and safer than candlelight, display several together with colorful ornaments and fragrant pine boughs on a mantel or console. Simply insert strands of white lights (included) into globes of different sizes for a sparkling presentation. Small: 5.5" diameter Medium: 8" diameter Large: 13" diameter Blown-glass shapes with antique mercury finish; holes at the base for inserting string lights.

The mercury glass globe is one of my favorite light features of the winter season. It has a soft, glowing, calming ambiance and for the price, it is an absolute winner!

I wanted to get these last year, but didn't. Finally gave in and ordered. They are beautiful. Next year I might get some warm white LED lights to go in them. Cooler bulbs and less electricity to run. Should look just as good. You won't regret purchasing these. Very, very nice.

Mercury Glass globes are very pretty. They are fragile, as expected, and glow beautifully. I was so pleased that they all arrived safely and unbroken! I'm impressed Pottery Barn!

I bought all three of these. They are beautiful either lit or unlit. I've gotten compliments on it from the get-go. In the pic, it appears that they could also be displayed outdoors, but they're too delicate for that. A bit expensive, but well made and worth it.

This is beautiful! It is bigger than I thought it would be which was a great bonus. I have it lit, nestled among other potted plants on a small stand, on my patio. So cool!

I have these Mercury Glass Globes sitting on mirrored shapes with cordless lights. They are lit automatically each evening. The globes cast a beautiful aura in the dining room. We just love them.

I thought this would really add some sparkle to the evening room but...it looks more like a poorly painted glass when lit. Doesn't have the ambience or appearance of mercury glass. Stick with the votives and skip this investment.

I love these globes! They are very beautiful when lit and worked perfectly with my Christmas display. Only con was the light sets sent with the globes did not work. Disappointing to have to go buy new lights so I could enjoy the globes.

These were beautiful! They would be much better with battery operated strands of led lights, instead of the electric plug-in type that are included.

I have really enjoyed the mercury glass globes (all three sizes), as they make a striking display with greenery or standing alone and they are beautiful when lit at night! I have purchased many Pottery Barn decorative items over the years and have liked them, but these are a standout!

Love the globes have them displayed on a table with Christmas village houses and Christmas tress. Makes a great statement.

I love these mercury glass globes. They have the warmest glow. I think I will leave them in my living room all winter, maybe even longer. Nice mix of the modern and the antique mercury glass-look.

I ordered two globes, one small & one medium. I love, love, love them. I plan on keeping them on display year round. They have a great vintage, shabby chic look. If this is your decorating style, you may like them too.

Pretty, but not perfect

The mercury is much "splotchier" than appears in catalog, which is ok, but not what I expected. The lights are silly. Comes with an ordinary strand of Christmas lights that needs to be plugged in (so could not be used on a dining table or coffee table) with no notch for the cord to exit the ball. I solved the problem by using a battery powered string of lights instead and that works fine, but was an additional cost.

Beautiful but design flaw

The globes are gorgeous but there is no notch in the glass rim to allow the cord to come out of the base. They sit precariously on top of the cord. This makes the globes unstable and I fear with the slightest nudge of the cabinet they will go crashing to the floor. I like the ease of having them corded and on a power strip to turn on with the flip of a switch. It would be easy to buy a battery powered light strand for use as a centerpiece. So stunning but the design needs a slight improvement.

Saw these in your catalog last year, but the sizes I wanted were already sold out! When I found them in your on-line Christmas items this year, I grabbed them. Perfect decorations for the holidays and beyond! Thanks! But you are making this survey difficult by not accepting my real first name!!!
