Great Fixture

This fixture was perfect. Looked great in my bathroom and was the perfect size. One came with a little chip in it but nothing too big so I kept it. DEfinitely check the products out before you get an electrician in your house. I had another fixture come that did not have all of the pieces and then this one with the chip.

This light looks great with my vintage chrome medicine cabinet. I decided on the Mercer Sconce, after a larger one from another shop didn't work out. I really wasn't expecting it to look as good as it does! I love how it looks - the way it subtly pulls together the retro/vintage look that I was going for. I'm glad I ordered it. The lighting is a little dim, but still sufficient.

Perfect for a smaller bathroom

I selected this sconce for above my medicine cabinet in my smaller craftsman-style bathroom and it looks perfect! Since the light is up higher, I rotated the glass pieces so that they covered up the bottom of the bulb and now it does not shine in my eye. Also, the glass pieces are a soft white, they look more yellow on the website to me, i'm guessing the color depends on the color of bulb you put in, so don't worry, they look good with white tile/trim.

A really nice double sconce. I purchased the polished chrome and it is really nice. The milk glass is very fragile - I need to be careful when placing the bulbs. Great for the price, my husband put it up in 15 min.

Great Fixture for Low Ceilings

We needed a classy looking light fixture for a basement bathroom with a lower ceiling. This fixture was just the ticket. They provide good light, look great and can fit in a tight space. They would also be great in a room with a standard height ceiling, but were a great option for our situation.

I am very happy with the Mercer sconces. They look great in the bathroom. They work well with the medicine cabinets since they need clearance to open. I was afraid they wouldn't supply enough light, but that isn't a problem.

Great lights

We have a small master bath & these fill our needs perfectly. They could be a little brighter during the day time hours, but at night they seem just fine. Our bathroom is 7X9 and the wood work is dark ebony, floor is a mixture of light, medium, and dark tile, with brown walls walls, and finally a white shower and toilet. We have red sinks and white/cream countertops.
I had them professional installed by the electrician who did the rest of our bathroom. The dark and white together make for a very nice contrast.

We put these in the kids bathrooms. They look great, they go with our retro theme perfectly. They are a bit dull, I wouldn't recommend them for a master bath.

This light fixture is beautiful in our bathroom. We have an old house and an old style bathroom, and it looks just right. Our bathroom is small - maybe 5x8 - and this fixture gives us more than enough light. For the price, this is excellent quality. We had trouble installing this, but I think it has much more to do with our old house than the fixture itself.

Perfect for small bath

Many of the other reviews mentioned that this light does not provide adequate lighting. Which I am sure is correct if you are planning to or do install in a master/large bath. I purchased the light even knowing it may be dim because I loved the design. I installed it myself in around 30 minutes (I am a late 20's female). When I turned it on I was very nicely surprised that the amount of light is perfect for my small half bath. I say small, and the room is around 6x8 I would guess. So, for a larger bath this would likely not work as the only means of light, but for a small bath it is great!

Beautiful but difficult

This fixture is classic and beautiful. As stated in previous reviews, the light is dim, taking the small type B-10 bulb/lamp. However, in our small bathroom with another light over the shower, it works just fine. I wouldn't recommend this over an area where you'd like to apply your makeup. Our electrician had a horrible time installing it. The mounting plate that came with the fixture did not work - left no place for screws other than into drywall and the angle was very awkward. In the end, it turned out nice, but certainly not without difficulty.

Great bath lighting

The Mercer Double Horizontal Sconce was perfect for a small bath. I didn't have enough room for sconces on either side of the mirror and this worked perfectly above the mirror. I was concerned that placement would make it difficult for applying makeup, etc., but I like it even better than side lights.

Beautiful addition to our Master Bath

This light fixture is simple and beautiful in our Master Bath. The electrician that installed it told us it was one of the highest quality pieces he has ever installed. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is very mellow, and does not create a very bright light, so that took a bit to get used to. I do wish that it was able to be a little brighter. I do not regret buying it however, and would again, even knowing that it isn't as bright.

Small and Simply beautiful

I have a very small master bath with slanted ceiling due to gambrel roof. This sconce was perfect! It brightens the room has that great modern/vintage vibe and was easy to install. Couldn't be happier!
