Lewis Daybed & Slipcover with Trundle

Plush cushioning softens our daybed's high end panels, making it an inviting spot to relax. A backless design makes the bed easy to place, either against the wall or floating within the room, and a roll-out trundle comfortably sleeps a second guest. 85" wide x 42" deep x 36" high Crafted with a kiln-dried hardwood frame. Frame has thick foam padding on endboards and front rail. Slipcovers and mattress are sold separately. Daybed mattress cover also available to complete the tailored look. Optional trundle bed rolls out from beneath daybed and sits independently (trundle bed does not pop up).

Not usual quality of pottery barn
October 3, 2012
The slipcover shipped separately from the daybed and I was quite disappointed when it arrived. It was extremely wrinkled and it still doesn't look anywhere near as good as the online picture despite ironing and steaming. Purchase a lot from Pottery Barn and this isn't nearly the quality that I expect.

We love this daybed!
September 13, 2012
We purchased the Lewis daybed for my granddaughter's bedroom and it is a big hit. We are using it without the trundle for the moment and there is a lot of storage space under the bed. In fact, last weekend it "hid" four girls from 7 to 12 and one confused 5-yearold boy! The bed sits very high with a separately-purchased 12"-mattress, making the space seem rather special. I am making a canopy to make it even more so. I did not order the slipcover at first, but found it was needed if we want to have the opening for the trundle (or hiding place) toward the front, for there is no other covering--just a gaping hole. (The back side has a permanent cover over the space, however. If you are not using it with a trundle or for storage, you can turn this to the front and a cover is not needed.)
