We bought the unfinished and finished ledges, they are made really well. I did paint both sets to match our ceiling and baseboard color. Plan to hang them in our bedrooms to hold family pictures. Potterybarn always has quality products!

Great Shelf but only for really even walls

This is a great and extremly easy to install shelf! I do advise any person (no manner how many shelves you have put up in the past) only buy this shelf for walls that are even and sheetrocked. These do not go up on uneven surfaces or pannel board walls... we made this mistake.

Small shelf, excellent fit

Bought the shelf mainly because it could be painted. Looks great, easy to install, am buying additional longer size also
