I've had this rug in other colors for about 8 years. After kids and pets a few of my wool rugs have gotten stained. I have replaced 3 rugs with the Henley in thyme, bronze, and espresso. All seem just a bit softer than the older ones. Great quality and colors are perfect! Hope I use these another 8-10 years!

I ordered two espresso runner rugs. They have been great for my hallway. They're nice and full under our feet. The espresso color is real brown. More dirt brown than mocha. Once I put rug grippers under them they stay in place and we love them. They do shed, but all wool rugs do. It will stop after a while.

My New Rug

I absolutely love this rug! It was initially on back order, but it arrived before it was supposed to be shipped! Definitely a plus. The carpet is plush and feels good on my bare feet. My German Shepherd loves it; she has several spots she likes to lie in during the day. I would recommend this rug to anyone who is looking for something like it. I would purchase this again.

I bought 2 of these rugs in the brown and they totally grounded my whole bedroom...I love the feel of the wool and it keeps the decor from looking to busy...I may buy a 3rd one for my little boy bedroom... Love this purchase!

We are very pleased with our new rug. It is very plush and well made. If only we could keep our dogs off it! I agree with some of the other comments, the rug sheds a bit at first. Overall, extremely satisfied.

we have had this rug for a month and has weird lines running opposite of the direction it was rolled up to begin with . Looks really weird for the money should be better i think

I am very pleased with the colors and quality of the two Henley Runners I purchased. They are thick and warm underfoot. I expect some shedding because of the thickness of the wool fibers. The rugs stay in place despite my cats running and lounging on them.

Wonderful rug - classy and durable

We bought our first Henley Rug about 7 years ago for our apt in NYC. When we moved to the burbs we wanted to get a larger rug. The old rug lasted in a high traffic area and looked new until we decided to move after having it 7 years. The new carpet, well, sure, it sheds, but after the first month of weekly cleaning (Dyson) it's fine. Make sure you get a good rug pad....

Nice despite shedding.

It's just the two of us and a dog so the traffic stays pretty light. It did shed at first (about a week) pretty bad and then when we had guests (4 more people) the shedding increased over a week's time.

too much shedding

Beautiful color and nice feel but sheds way too much. Completely filled new vacuum bag with lint and still had tons left on the rug. Was sorry to have to, but I returned the rug.

Wonderful throw rug in Espresso. I have to say that this was shipped on 12/17 and arrived 12/21 and shipped to ALASKA! Finally a company that doesn't charge you and arm and a leg to ship to Alaska. THANK YOU PB. Please open a store here, PLEASE! I purchased the runner and it looks beautiful. My dog immediately laid on it of course. no shedding that I can see and I haven't vacuumed it yet. Highly Recommend this rug.

I wish I could add to all of these positive reviews. Perhaps we have an older version of this rug -- we purchased in 2007, and it has never stopped shedding. Our cats have added wool fiber to their diets.
And yes, we vacuum, have a rug pad, and follow the care instructions. Disappointing. We will be replacing it this year.

High quality rug...

I actually bought 5 of these rugs for my new home with all hardwood floors in varying sizes. The rugs are beautiful, they far exceeded my expectations. They are very thick and awesome to walk around on in your 'bare feet'!
Be prepared for a lot of lint to come off these rugs for a while, that is the price you pay for quality!

These rugs are definitely worth every penny. One of the 5 rugs got delivered in the wrong color, I called Customer Service the same day. What a pleasant experience. The person I talked was on the phone in Nevada, and spoke 'ENGLISH'! She was extremely nice, the rug was picked up the next day and two days later the correct rug was on my door step! Thanks Pottery Barn, you make shopping online a wonderful experience as appossed to other companies.

I recently had hardwood floors installed in my home and purchased the Jameson Bed in Oat color for my master bedroom. I couldn't decide on a rug until I found this one. It is perfect! The color is rich and the material is thick and durable. I plan to purchase the same rug in Taupe for another room of my home. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!
