Beautiful rich cranberry red color

As an owner of several Pottery Barn rugs, I knew that this would be a superb product. A couple of years ago, we had all of the carpeting in our home replaced with hardwoods. My husband was tired of the red floral Pottery Barn 8 x 10 area rug we had been using in our living room, so we sold it to a neighbor. Then I purchased this solid-color Henley rug with a darker border in the 3 x 5 size to use in front of our sofa. The rich cranberry red color looks absolutely wonderful on our maple syrup-colored hardwoods!! Needless to say, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Pottery Barn products are worth every penny!

This rug looks great in my kitchen...it really adds warmth to the entire space. I get compliments everytime someone walks into my house.

This rug is the perfect accent to my living room! While it sheds at first, it is very sturdy and durable (I have two dogs that put it to the test every day). The rich color works well with my herringbone sectional (from pottery barn as well).

I have had this rug in my office for over a year. Its in a normal traffic area but has never stopped shedding these annoying big globs of red fuzz. I have not noticed any fraying or loss of pile depth.

I love the rich color of this rug. I ordered this rug in cranberry. It did seem to stop pilling after about a month or so. I have four legged furry friends so it is a rug that needs to be vacuumed everyday, but I have to assume that is more of the color than the material. I have noticed it has begun to unravel on the ends. The premature unraveling could be because of my four legged friends, but my Nourison rug still hasn't been affected by my friends and I have had it for five years. So, I guess it comes down to, you get what you pay for.

Too much shedding

We love the color and design, but the shedding is not worth it. Every time we vacuum, the vacuum FILLS with red fluff, and the rug is getting less and less plush. Tried vacuuming without the beater brush (per their suggestions) and...the rug didn't get clean. So you can not vacuum and have a dirty rug, or vacuum and lose plush. Don't know if it's the type/quality of wool, but after this many negative comments, they should change something. It is possible to have a thick plush carpet that doesn't shed like this.

My online order was delivered within 3-4 days as I recall. The rug seems to be of great quality and the color great....deep/dark and exactly what I expected and was hoping for. I wish during the Online checkout process that Pottery Barn might have suggested one of those no-slip thingees that goes under the rug. I placed the rug on a hardwood floor and it kinda slips around so I'll have to go out and purchase a no-slip thing.

I loved this rug when I first got it. The color was beautiful. However, similar to other reviews, it sheds easily and often. Then after only one year, the edges began to fray and pull apart from the rug. It is not in a high traffic area and there are only 2 of us living in the house. It should not have fallen apart the way it did. I would not buy another one.

A yummy red rug

Super plush, incredibly rich, deep red. Makes the room look warm and inviting. Very well made with thick, tight weave. Animal owners note, however; not a good rug for animals. My cats adore the pile so they are clawing it. The pile is so even and thick, you see claw marks immediately. No reflection on the quality. On the contrary. It's just a shame it's not something that will remain pristine under animal claws. I put a cheapo rug over it for daily use to preserve it. I'll take the cheapo rug off when I have company. Very substantial quality rug.

This rug has a great color, but I agree with some of the other reviews that this rug falls apart very quickly. We have 2 other rugs that we have had for years longer and none of the edges are frayed. These rugs have frayed edges and need to replaced already. We are quite disappointed considering the quality of other Pottery Barn products.

It Sheds Red

Initially pleased with our Henley. Beautiful color, luxurious feel underfoot w a thin pad. Then; guests. Surprise. Any use - the rug sheds fine red fibers. And sheds - a month later, still, red fiber throughout the house, clinging 2 clothing. A beautiful rug, but quality highly suspect. U R forewarned.

Love Pottery Barn but not this rug

This will be the third time we are returning this rug. The seams come apart constantly and it is just poor quality. I love the rug, it feels great to walk on, the color is perfect...but it is just not a good quality rug. Pottery Barn has been EXCEPTIONAL about standing behind the product and we will be replacing it with another rug of higher quality.

Love the color and richness of this rug. The only downside is the shedding, which I was warned about from other reviewers (but it's not as bad as some claimed). However, it does not bother me that much. Just means a little more vacuuming early on.
I got both the 8' X 10' and a runner for my kitchen area, they look sensational. Have received lots of compliments. Haven't had to clean it yet, so not sure how that will go with the deep cranberry color. I hope there won't be any discoloration.
But, love, love it so far!!

We bought this rug (in cranberry) for our living room and it looks really nice. It does shed, but not excessively. It was a nice way to complete our room.

I ordered the cranberry 9 X 12. Had reservations as we were changing everything from floor to ceiling. Unrolled and positioned it center stage on newly installed wood floor. FANTASTIC! Laid perfectly flat, looked absolutely elegant and felt superb!! Couldn't have made a better choice!

Great rug

bought the 3x5 cranberry about two weeks ago and it lives in the bedroom at the side of the bed. It sheds into the vacuum, but I'm not seeing dust bunnies around the room or any red fluff on my white dog who has decided she likes sleeping on it all night. I was very impressed with the speedy delivery as well as the quality of the rug. So plush and velvety underfoot. Perfect red colour. I did use a rug pad to stop it slipping on the hardwood floor.
