Sewn from smooth cotton percale, the bedding reverses to a crisp ticking stripe. Made of pure cotton percale. 230-thread count. Polyester batting. I bought two twin quilts on clearance for my guest bedroom and I am really impressed! The colors are very rich and the quality is top notch. I'll be buying more comforters from PB - very well made!

The picture on line doesn't do it justice. The colors are rich and vibrant. The repeating pattern is hardly noticeable, and flows beautifully. It is thick and warm. Just wonderful!

Comforter (not a quilt)

Decided to let my husband select a new quilt and shams for our king size bed. He pointed to what he wanted and I placed the order, not realizing I was ordering a polyester filled comforter rather than a cotton quilt. When it came, I was shocked, but because the comforter and the shams were so beautiful, I decided to keep them. For the first time in my life, I'm not pulling the bed cover tight around my neck to stay warm. I've learned to let the comforter loosely cover my body and it keeps us both toasty warm.

I'm a little disappointed about the size of the queen comforter!!! I expected the comforter to at least hang evenly on both sides of bed covering side of mattress !! Considering mattress are mad much fuller these days !

Rich and luxurious

I adore this comforter. The colors are fabulous, the feel is soft, and the yummy thickness makes for the coziest sleep ever. It's perfect.
A tip I think is helpful is to buy the comforter a size bigger than the bed you're going to use it for. The measurements are true, but I bought a California King for our king size bed, and that means there's plenty of "hang" over the edges of the bed--and no one pulls the blanket off his or her partner!

Love This Comforter

I am so glad that Pottery Barn is making comforters available for purchase. The Helena comforter is a beautiful rich red and gold print. The material is very smooth. I believe it is organic cotton. My only complaint is that it JUST fits my queen-size mattress. A few more inches on both the length and width would make it perfect.
