The worst rug Ive ever owned...

I purchased this rug way back in September. After waiting the better part of 6 weeks to arrive, the rug was delivered double wrapped, rolled in excellent condition. I initially loved the rug, and purchased thinking it would do some shedding, then slow. The design of the rug is beautiful. After 2 months of very light wear and constant vacuuming, swiffering, etc, the rug looks 10 years old. The "chenille" portion has started to wear away. The jute portion "splinters" and has left shards in both my feet and my toddler! I cannot kneel, sit, or walk on the rug without being covered in jute fibers. I have other jute and grass rugs in my home and for the price I paid for this rug, I am extremely disappointed. I would not buy again nor would I ever recommend this rug. I hate to say it but this thing is going to Craigslist and I'll purchase something else. I never have problems with PB items but this is well below par.

This rug is fabulous! I bought it for our kitchen. I've had previous jute rugs that were a little rough and left a lot of dirt and debris. This one looks great, feels great, and doesn't leave dirt and debris from the fibers. You will love this rug!

This is a high quality jute rug that has a great feel to it on your bare feet! Love it for our hallway! As much as I wanted a nice wool rug, I knew with three kids and two dogs it would never stay clean. This is nice looking and functional! Thinking about getting another one for the dining room.

Beautiful Rug BUT...

Have the 8X10 rug and it dresses up our living room nicely! It is soft on the feet, but after having it for a few days started to notice the rug's fibers all over our clothes and furniture. I have to vacuum the couches and dust off the coffee table every few days. The little jute fibers are itchy and prickly and it's unfortunate that anything that touches the rug winds up covered in it.

This is a great looking rug, BUT I have dark wood floors and the fibers from this rug are everywhere, I have to vacuum daily to keep up with the shedding. It sheds and sheds and sheds. I have had it for around 2 months still shedding. Will never purchase another one. Fibers on all my furniture, counter tops etc.

Very Dirty Rug

You won't believe how much dust comes off this rug. I'm worried it will ruin my hardwood floors. I tried to vacuum the dust out of the rug, but it sheds so much dust that I have to mop under it every few days. Nice look, but it really is dirty and disgusting. I can't wait to get it out of my house.

Already have a heathered chenille rug in a smaller size and darker color. I liked it so much, I ordered this larger size for another room. I know the quality is good. My previous similar rug has held up well, even through my two cats sometimes using it as a scratching post! I like the fact these rugs are hardy yet have a softer feel and look than a plain jute rug.

Our newly renovated country style kitchen was instantly completed with this rug. It is used under out kitchen table but could easily be used as a conversational area in any room of your home. This versatile rug was a hit in our home. High quality & there was no odor from the rug as it was first opened on the floor as the packaging had warned may be a possibility.

We wanted to bring a casual, relaxed feel to our new home, but still wanted it to look elegant and pulled together. We ordered a few jute rugs that we hoped would freshen up some of our existing furniture, which was a little more traditional than what we would choose now. We put this one in our dining room, which has our old formal French country dining room set and a modern Thibaut wallpaper with a circle pattern that almost has a 50s vibe. The rug really pulled together all the disparate elements and made the whole room lighter, brighter and more casual. After receiving it, I wanted to order the same rug for every room in the house!

We purchased two of these rugs in the runner size for our hallways with hardwood floors. We wanted something that was durable yet comfortable. This rug is perfect for a hallway. Soft, but low pile and won't show dirt. We were very impressed with the quality of this rug.

I love the look of this rug. It has a nice natural look and is soft to the touch, however, it does not seem to be well suited to a high traffic area. I have only had it for a month and it is already pulling and fraying. I don't see it holding up for very long.

I loved this rug so much I bought a second one! One for the living room and one for under the dining room table. Very durable, holds up equally well to the occasional spilled drink and kids and cats. I was initially concerned about how to keep the rugs clean without causing them to wear. Vacuuming them weekly with the beater brush turned off works great.

I love the look of this rug. It adds so much texture to the room. There have been a few pulls in it, likely caused by dogs' nails. The pulls seemed to have decreased in the last week. I do wonder about the durability of it and hope that it doesn't look old after a few months. Overall I really like it.

Heather Chenille Jute Rug Sheds Like a Dog!

I put this rug in my family room. If my throw even touches the rug, it picks up all the little pieces of jute fibers. The other day the neighbor kid was over and sat on the rug. When she got up to go home, it looked like her pants were covered in dead grass. This rug belongs in a room that is barely used. When I run the sweeper over it, the canister fills up with jute fibers and it has to be dumped. I am constantly seeing jute fibers all over my leather couch and tile floor. This room now has to be cleaned every single day or we would be wading through jute fibers. Pretty rug but oh so much work. I guess I will just deal with the mess until I can't stand it anymore--then I will have a great big party to burn it!

I would never buy another one, I bought an 8x10 for family room on Walnut wood floor. It sheds non stop! I vacuum daily and still have fibers stuck to socks and clothing any thing that touches rug

This is a beautiful casual rug! Arrived quickly with no jute smell and does not shed as much as expected.
Would put a few in my home if I had the rooms for it!

I got this rug to use in between my island and counter in my new kitchen where I walk/stand a lot. It is very soft to stand on - thick. Doesn't seem to show crumbs, or whatever else falls on it in my kitchen. Looks nice over my new hickory floors, blends in nicely, which is what I wanted. Vacuums well. I love it!

Unlike some sisals that can be scratchy, this rug lived up to its description of being soft on your feet. Very pleased!
