Best cereal bowl

Bought these breakfast cereal bowls to use in our Copake country home. It is such a pleasure to use them for cereal. Bowls are good looking, great size and fit well in our country kitchen. Love them!

My husband and I carefully thought out our dinnerware purchase, but unfortunately I think we made the wrong choice. The plates are beautiful and can look great with whatever the table is set with. However, after the first washing it looked like the white was wearing off and silver/black streaks began to appear on the cereal bowls. A few of the salad plates have big bubbles in the middle of the dish. I think we are going to return them.

I purchased plates and cups to go along with a my earlier purchases of the same dinnerware. The color was different than the original so I had to return the items.

Sizes of plates too big and bulky, they cannot fit in my cabinets, and even my dishwasher. Too bad, they were nice and of very simple designs.

The great white dinnerware was even better when I got it home! Perfect for everyday use. Love that it is classic and simple, definitely a timeless set. Even better that they are microwave and dishwasher safe! Thank You!

A bit too large

I really wanted these dishes to work, but the dinner plates were far too large to fit into our dishwasher. We had to send the whole set back (and cover the shipping costs.) It was very frustrating.

I have purchased this product once before, in a former life so-to-speak, it is most familiar to me. and appreciated for what it is....perfect, functional design at a good price-point...especially when on "sale."
Simply said, I love every aspect of the Great White set. Weight, size, warmth of touch, its everyday aspect, which can be used in semi-formal situations without failure to serve well ones needs of purpose.
Thanks for staying with a traditional simplicity.

The great white dinnerware was a shower gift for my daughter. She told me there were black speckles in all of the dinner plates and they appeared "dirty" althought it was a defect in the pottery.
I told her to return them.

I love the Great White dinnerware. The size is why I purchased it for those times when a full course dinner is being served. The plates are beautiful on my table and make an elegant statement. I have no trouble fitting the Dinner Plate in my cupboard. I would recommend this set to anyone.

Perfect white dinnerware

I love my great white dinnerware! I bought them because a friend told me how much she loved hers. The only complaint I've seen is that the dinner plates don't fit in a standard kitchen cabinet, but this doesn't bother me. I keep mine in the lower cabinet. Most of the time we use the big plates for entertaining and use the salad plates for dinner every night because they're big enough.

I ordered the Great White Dinnerware mugs because the details on the product says they hold 24oz. I discovered when the mugs arrived that they only hold 11oz. I still love the look, I just needed them to hold more.

Timeless, versatile, sturdy, but HUGE!!

Pros: These are extremely versatile, can be used as every day dishes, but can also be used for a formal dinner party by dressing up the table with placemats, decorations, etc. They are also very durable. Because they are porcelain, they do not chip or crack like stoneware. The design is timeless and classic.
Cons: The dinner plates are HUGE. The do not fit in a standard upper cabinet. I have to store these in one of my lower cabinets which is not exactly convenient. We use the salad plates as our every day plates instead because they are more like the size of a normal dinner plate. The bowls are also very big and therefore take up ALOT of space in the dishwasher. Also, these dishes are very heavy.

LOVE these dishes

I have had this set of dishes (12 salad plates that I use for every day) and 12 larger plates, bowls, cups and saucers for 4 years. I use them daily. There has not been one chip...no matter who handles them, kids included. They are in and out of the microwave, dishwasher, and handled normally with no signs of wear. They dress up a table in their simplicity and classic design. My daughter wants to start her own collection after seeing mine in use.

I love this dinnerware...the salad plate is actually large enough to use as a dinner plate...the dinner plate is perfect for a grilled steak or a large entree item...the cups and saucers...are great for soup and the bowls are deep enough to cook oatmeal in the microwave...am now ordering the soup bowls and serving pieces...

There is something timeless and classic about these dishes. I love the wide rim on the plates and how well food presents on them. I liked these dishes very much but what sold me on purchasing them over others was the great reviews from previous customers which I found informative and accurate. Thanks all!

This collection is just perfect. Heavy and solid. They don't chip easy and are so big! Plates are deep almost like a bowl. They are just pefect. Dinner plates are HUGE! I LOVE IT!

I purchased 12 place settings and every serving piece I could get my hands on over 3 years ago.
I use my great white dishes for every meal, whether it's pizza or entertaining a formal holiday dinner. I love everything about these dishes and have purchased more just to have to replace and chipped pieces I have (i'm a clutz!).
Like other reviewers, I also use the salad plates as dinner plates - who could really fill a dinner plate that size anyways?!

I have bought a virtual mountain of Great White dinnerware from the butter dish to the largest of serving platters and bowls. I have almost all of the available pieces and I love it. It's large and grand and beautiful. I flung open the cabinet doors in my kitchen once and a guest said "Oh my gosh that's beautiful!" Can't beat that!
Just as importantly, while I have bought perhaps 150 pieces of great white, not one single piece has arrived chipped, cracked or broken. The packaging is superb.
Yes it is big, if you're going to use the largest of the dinner plates make sure that your cabinets (and dishwasher!) can accommodate 12" plates.
The chip and dip serving tray is one of my favorite pieces. It's larger than it looks online and the center dip dish is built in to the plate which isn't obvious - it's all once piece. Very cool.
