Grand Embroidered 280-Thread-Count Sheet Set
Our crisp white linens lend perfectly tailored style with a triple border of contrast embroidery. Pure cotton percale. 280-thread count. Edged with a triple row of satin-stitched embroidery. Set includes flat sheet, fitted sheet and two pillowcases (one with twin). Monogramming is available at an additional charge. Monogram will be centered along the border of the pillowcase and the flat sheet. Machine wash. Catalog / Internet only. Imported.

Beautiful not practical

I purchased the pillowcases and duvet. They are very attractive - the material is bright white, crisp and soft. However, after washing/drying they are extremely wrinkled. I have never seen anything like it. I had to spend an hour ironing to make them look good again. Luckily they are used in our guest room and not used regularly or I would have returned them.

Too wrinkly

I bought the sheet set, duvet cover and shams and I'm sorry I did. They look beautiful out of the package but they are stiff and a nightmare once washed. I've washed them a few times hoping that they would soften up, but no luck so far. I typically iron my top sheet and pillowcases anyway, but these were even hard to iron (i used starch too). Hopefully they will soften after more washings but I'm not holding my breath.

Grand Embroidered 280 thread count sheet set

I was very disappointed in these sheets! I washed them before using and they came out of the dryer terribly stiff and wrinkled. They looked so pretty on line, but they will have to be ironed before they can go on the bed! I took them out of the washer and dryer immediately after they were through so that is not the reason. Not happy with them at all. Never had sheets wrinkle as badly. Can't be returned due to monogram. The lovely trim and embroidery can no be appreciated because of this. Do not recommend!

If you like the feel of crisp, this is the product, however, be aware that after a few washings the elastic may break leaving the fit not so great.

Disappointing

These sheets are stiff and not at all comfortable against the skin. They were extremely wrinkled right out of the dryer and stayed that way. Not what I would expect from a PB product and definitely not worth the price. I will probably keep these around for an emergency but won't be using them if I can help it.

These sheets are awful. They are completely and permanently wrinkled no matter how much I wash them and very hard. They are noisy to sleep on and extremely stiff!! First bad purchase from Pottery Barn.

not worth the price

I almost never write bad reviews but these sheets merit it. They are unpleasantly coarse / stiff even after several washings. I was skeptical when I first took them out of the package so I ended up washing only 2 of the 6 sets I purchased. Needless to say, I returned the other 4 sets. The two I kept are tolerable at best but really not pleasant to sleep on.

I like Pottery Barn towels and tried their sheets as a result, but these disappoint. They're extremely thin and even after ironing with lots of starch, they do not deliver.

This bedding ensemble is luxury at a modest price. With a rather thick mattress and an additional pillow top the fitted sheet covers it all. It launders well but does need an iron for a finished look. A small inconvenience. I am very pleased.

Is this what passes for percale today?

If these sheets are percale, I'll eat my pillow case! Percale is soft, smooth, cool to the touch. These are rough, scratchy and hot. I don't know what they are, but poor quality at percale prices, not good.

Wish I had read these reviews....I have bought sheets before from PB. The 400ct. PB and they were great-very soft. But I wanted the stitching on the Grand Embroidered. UGH!! They are so rough, cannot get then to soften up. YES I ironed them but I do not want to iron king size sheets. They are rough and wrinkled mess and loud and heavy and just awful! THUMBS DOWN!!!!!

These are the worst quality sheets I have ever owned. They come out of the dryer a crinkly wrinkled mess. I have to iron them, and with a good iron on the highest steam setting, the wrinkles do no come out. I would not buy them again or suggest to anyone else to purchase then. The embroidrey looks lovely new, but once washed, they are so wrinkled, you can't make out the letters.

I like to spray starch and iron my top sheets and pillow cases and these ironed beautifully. I followed the care directions and they washed and dried beautifully. I'd highly recommend them.

These sheets are beautiful and look perfect on our bed. They're crisp and timeless, and the embroidery is well done. The only thing that could use improvement is that for the price one pays for sheet sets these days, they could use a higher thread count. They are a little scratchier than the sheets we replaced.

Just what I was looking for

I was looking for 100% cotton with cool crisp feel but still great quality. These are fabulous. The fitted sheet is the first one that actually truly fits a deep mattress. The top sheet is enough to tuck in for a finished look.

Not my favorite bedding

I have previously purchased certain sheets from PB that have cotton fibres in them (other than regular cotton) and they are awful to keep clean. I have a small dog and cat and their hair sticks to the sheets and this does not wash off. I have to use a roller to remove their silky hair. I was hoping that these Grand sheets would be different, but they also have this fibre and therefore have the same problem. Stay away from them if you have pets. Otherwise I love PB!

DO NOT buy these sheets. They are like paper. Even after multiple washings they sound and feel like paper! If you are a light sleeper, you'll hear them all night long. It's terrible. Another thing with my set is that the flat sheet does not fit my mattress. I can't even tuck it in on the sides. Really super disappointed with this product.
