Glendale Pulley Task Table Lamp
Designed with a pulley system patterned after vintage industrial equipment, this lamp can be raised and lowered with a touch. It's crafted of burnished bronze with natural jute ropes. A turn key lets you adjust the angle of the head, which pivots from side to side. 18.5" wide x 10" deep x 28" high Made of iron with an aged finish and burlap rope. Raise and lower with functioning pulley; lock in place with turn key. Head pivots from side to side. Switch on cord. UL-listed.

The only negative thing I have about this lamp is it needs to be set on something higher if you want it next to you and wish to "lower" it. Otherwise it will be aimed at your lap. It looks just like the picture and is a wonderful addition to the room.

I was at the local Pottery Barn store when I happened across this lamp just inside the entrance. After a quick look-over, I knew I HAD to have it. The store had none left in stock, so I had them order me another one immediately. I finally got it after a week and I have to say it's quite stunning in my home and well worth the $200 price tag.
Our house is filled to the brim with modern furniture and artwork, but lamps like this add that wonderful "old world", rustic touch that transitions beautifully with the ultra-modern. Sitting on a side table with a vintage tripod-style desk clock and a few books with a magnifying glass, this lamp completely finishes off a room years in the making. The perfect touch only comes along every so often.

the right direction

I am in the process of changing the look of my living room. This lamp was one step in taking the room the direction I am headed. It looks great!
