PB Found Wood Sled

We fell in love with these vintage wooden sleds, once used by children in the German countryside and the Austrian Alps during the early part of the 20th century. They're made of European hardwoods with the original metal hardware on the bottom to protect the skis from the wet snow. Perfect as decoration in an entryway or by the fireplace. Each sled is unique; let us choose for you. 12-18" wide x 2-3' long

Sled Much Larger Than Stated
December 31, 2011
I had looked forward to receiving this sled...turned out to be much larger than the description had said and I had to return it.
However, I received a refund for the entire purchase, so I was appreciative of that.

Cute but not as expected
December 5, 2011
I did love the style. Grew up in Germany and do remember and my mom has an actual antique German sled of this type.
I was dissapointed in the length. It is very short.

How I Wish!
November 17, 2010
I was eager to get this wonderful sled as I had visions of it displayed under my Christmas tree! I was so disappointed that the sled I got was not identical to the one that the catalogue had romanticized me with. Along with the fact that it looked differently, was that it's condition was so dirty! I know that these are vintage but couldn't Pottery Barn have cleaned them off a little? There was dust and unusual black stuff? I hate to fathom that it could have been some kind of mold...... I wasn't very happy! I hope that you all have better luck than I did!
