I have a amber colored bellshaped glass pendant light hanging over my dinning table, and this bulb makes a really nice glow without being too bright, it's a little pricey but worth every penney, I am very happy with my purchase!!

Great look, great find ... but damaged

A great find in 60w; most of the vintage bulbs are 40w. Unfortunately, when screwed in it flashed once and then... out. Thanks to great PB great customer service, although it was 2 months since purchase (personal schedule delayed my unpacking the bulb for that long after receiving it) i will be receiving replacement bulb.

Too dull, no necessary attachment

Bought this filament light bulb with 60 Watts because I thought it would be visible through the lamp shade, so that the form of it would add to the entire appearance of the lamp base and the lamp shade. Far from it ! Unfortunately, it is very dull, which is even more reduced by the structure of the lamp shade (the lamp shade is very nice, though).
The 60 Watts are so dull, one cannot even read a book at this lumen-strength (and 60 Watts are the highest available wattage).
For other buyers I'd recommend to use a energy saving light bulb, which comes nowadays also in a more mellow brightness and yellowish lumens.

This is the second bulb ordered within the last 3 months (along with two floorlamps for our daughter and son-in-law, which they love). Filament was broken upon arrival, therefore bulb didn't work. Had to make a trip to local hardware store to purchase another bulb. didn't want to go through the hassle of contacting Pottery Barn and shipping the bulb back.

I really like the Filament Bulbs. They are lovely with the Whitney fluted task lamp. They give the lamp an old-fashioned feel that I love.

These replicate old original lamp bulbs. If you want ambiance rather the a great deal of light, they are great;

I purchased this filament bulb for my hallway. I have an older ornate light bulb socket that needed an equally decorative bulb and this fit perfectly. It has a nice warm glow thats not too yellow or too bright. This is definitely a bulb to show off.

A little disappointed

I purchased 2 bulbs for my Calhoun Pendant lights and after a few days the glass appears dark gray. It looks like the glass is scorched on the inside. This disappoints me because they were a suggested purchase with the Calhoun Pendant lights, so I would think they would be compatible. I'm just wondering if the wattage is wrong for the Calhoun Pendant lights. When the light is turned on, they look great, but when it's turned off, they look pretty bad.

I ordered two lights for the lamps I purchased and within two weeks one bulb already went out. Contacted customer service and they are sending out a new one. I have a feeling the other bulb is not far from burning out as well. They look great in the lamps...very cute.

I bought a lamp off Pottery Barn and needed this bulb to make it look more antique. Wow this is one bright bulb but very cool!! It has streaks of light that goes through these minuet wires. Its neat to see if you dare. I thought it was going to be too bright and now that I have used it for awhile you get use to it and do not really look at it. Gives off a rather yellow soft hue in the room. I love it and will buy another one when it blows.

I have a bulb that needs to be returned. It didn't work. Once I get a chance to return it to the store, I will. It's hard to say if I love them because I need to see my lights fully operational. I know that a regular bulb is not the answer. I love the soft yellow tint the lights eluminates.
