Masterfully crafted of rich mahogany for the look of an heirloom. White finish is expertly crafted of kiln-dried solid meranti wood and meranti wood veneers. Bought the bed, dresser and side tables! what a gorgeous set I love walking into my bedroom now. One of the side tables wobbled they sent me a new one great service great product!!! LOVE IT

This bed is fantastic! Beautiful, sturdy, and comfortable. I'm a very light sleeper so I wanted a bed that would discourage movement transfer and this bed definitely does! It's so attractive and I can just tell it's going to last me for generations.

great bed, but the setup service...

this bed was the exact style i was looking for. however, the guys that set it up only did half the job. they didn't want to screw in the planks for the mattress (which is a lot of work for a bed...each one has to be screwed in separately) so they just put our basic frame and boxspring inside the frame.

The bed was very pretty. I ordered the Antique Honey stain. Pottery Barn should have never discontinued this color, it is a beautiful, not so dark stain. It matches and looks great with my other furniture in the room. The delivery went well. I was worried about nicks and scratches, being boxed up, but the bed was in good shape....It was wrapped carefully in foam. Delivery guys were careful, patient and helpful. I would order another piece of furniture from Pottery Barn!

I read all the reviews before I bought it a few months ago and was concerned about the scratching. You would seriously have to make a deep and hard scratch in order for it to show up. I took my fingernail to it and nothing, my dog (chocolate lab) has jumped on the side with his nails and it did nothing. All wood finishes can scratch so I don't see the problem. It's a great solid bed with a sophisticated style. I highly recommend it.

I received my Farmhouse bed in Antique Honey yesterday. I is a beautiful, solid-well built bed. No creaking or cracking from this bed and ours is King size. The antique honey color is more like a mahogany color....exactly what I wanted (read another review) Be aware, it's not as yellow honey as it appears in the picture--if that's what your looking for. The delivery person set the frame to accomodate a boxspring for us. Just so you know this is a very high bed. I am 5'9" and its at my hip! So if you are not very tall you may want set this up with out a box spring. I did protect the wood where my dog jumps up, just incase to prevent scratches like other reviews stated. I was dissappointed that the end tables are on backorder until 9-2011!! So didn't order them.

Very nice bed

I bought this bed in the canopy version a year ago with a matching end table from the collection. They're lovely. I haven't experienced the fingerprints or scratching problems others have. I'd also like to say that the delivery and set up was really easy - the guys came when they said they would had it together in minutes and carried the old frame downstairs for me.
I'm writing this - came upon the review option while I'm thinking about buying this non-canopy version for another bedroom.

Can't get off fingerprints!

I've spent hours on our Farmhouse dresser trying to get off the fingerprints. It seems there is a special finish on it that acts as a magnet to every touch. The first touch was from the gentlemen who brought it into my house. I thought that it was no big deal, so I tried to wipe it with a soft damp cloth, NADA. Now the whole front around each knob has grease on it. PB was nice enough, had heard of the complaint before and referred me to a local "furniture medic." Wish me luck! Otherwise, it's gorgeous.

We ordered this bedroom set off our registry after we were married. At first I loved the collection but after just a few short years, I can't help but notice all the scratches and the drawer knobs are all loose. I've tightened them but nothing seems to work. The furniture looks to be of good quality but the finish scratches and scrapes so easily.

The bed scratches easily and I understand her complaint, otherwise its a great bed. I love it. I've found using a black waterproof pen and rub it in then use my fingers seems to work on small scratches; the sales person told me that tip. She said the do it in their stores all the time on display models...the crayon that comes with it is useless. So if you have no children and no dogs and live alone, you'll be scratch proof!!!!

We decided to splurge on a new bed for our new master bedroom, and we are so glad that we did. It is solid and beautiful. We chose the farmhouse bed because of its classic lines that can be dressed down, or dressed up if our style changes. We also bought Pottery Barn bedding and it all came together beautifully.

We got this bed about a year and half ago. It's really beautiful and just looks like a classic.
The only down thing is that my dog once put her paws on the side and it scratched easily.
No regrets about the bed, but it would have gotten 5 stars if it didn't have a veneer and I could just sand down the scratches in the future.

This is a solid bed and bedroom set. Very heavy wood and finish. Couple with a nice mattress and you have a very sturdy bed. I use mine in a guest room.

We bought the entire set - side tables, extra wise dresser and king-size bed. I love it all. It is beautifully made and very solid. We've had it for 3 years and it still looks almost new. I really don't have a bad word to say about any of it, though it is worth noting that the wood is darker than it looks in the catalog and online (we have it in Honey and I'm very glad we didn't get it in the darker color).

I have the bed in the darker Espresso color and it's absolutely beautiful. It looks classic and elegant. The wood is very sturdy and nicely stained & polished; you can tell it's a quality-made bed. Definitely a great investment!
