This pendant did not look right in my eat in kitchen area. It was too small for the space that I have. It also was way too short.

We purchased 3 of these with the 16 Jar pendant and they look great together. They give the rooms a very unique and country feel with out losing out on "class".

Love the fixture BUT......

I love the look of this fixture. My contractors installed it with no problems and it's the perfect height for my nook. However, the jars are extremely hard to screw on. And if you are even slightly off on the threads and continue to screw it on, the top will get stuck and won't budge - it happened to one of mine. I can't even open it - and don't want to use too much pressure because of the glass. Hopefully it doesn't come crashing down - or better yet, hopefully it does. As much as I love this, I will be calling PB about this issue (seems I am not the only one) and try to return it. It's a bummer, because the chandelier is really awesome!! I just think for $150, I shouldn't have to fight to turn the jars onto the lids.

I bought it for a dining area in the kitchen. It is pretty, but this fixture will only work with a standard 8' ceiling height, or it will hang too high.

I ordered two of these 5 jar/light pendants. I love them. However, I thought they would be a bit more antique looking, so I got some "hammered" spray paint and painted my lids and the part that goes on the ceiling. I also painted the wires. They look fantastic!! Love them. I really would like to get the Edison Chandelier next, but I will have to wait for a sale!

Love the fixture, just what I wanted, however, the jar lids are so hard to unscrew and screw on that I can't do it. Not sure why this is, lids are galvanized and not very smooth inside but really difficult to open to install bulbs.

Amazing, bright, adds a lot of character

I hung this fixture over my kitchen sink to replace a recessed light. (Easy for an electrician to do - you might need a small medallion to cover the hole from where the recessed light came out, as I did - it looks fine.) First, it adds amazing character to the kitchen and a TON of light! I recommend putting it on a dimmer switch since you will want to keep it on for ambience sometimes but full-on will be too much - although it's terrific while you're doing dishes. (Maximum wattage per bulb is 40 so it surprised me how much light the fixture gives off.) Also, the light pattern it makes on my ceiling is beautiful - nice bonus. I liked it so much that I bought the 16-jar matching fixture for over the breakfast bar, on the other side of the room, and replaced a recessed light there, too.

This lamp gives out an amazing amount of light. You can really use much lower watt bulbs than what the lamp calls for. It is fun, quirky and rustic looking, which matches my kitchen.

We have both the 5 jar pendant and the 16 jar pendant. The 5 jar is the only one we have installed so far. The jars are a complete pain to screw on. One of the jars is not threaded properly and we are unable to unscrew the top. I'm just waiting for gravity to take a toll and have a jar come crashing down into the sink or onto the floor below. I have tried tapping the rim like you do when the mayonnaise jar can't be opened, but no luck. I'm not sure what we'll do when the bulb burns out. The bulbs are very bright. We ended up putting a very low wattage bulb in the fixture and it looks much better. A dimmer switch is a good idea. I love the look, but I feel that the quality could be better.

This light was the first purchase I made for our new kitchen. Waited almost 3 months for the kitchen to be ready for install, the anticipation was high! My electrician gave me the honors of hitting the switch and I was thrilled! Took the advice of another comment and put it on a dimmer switch. It hangs over a small penninusula just perfectly. I have 8 ft ceilings so I would suggest the cords were longer, but it looks fine. Am very happy with the quality of the lights and the touch of whimsy it adds to my new kitchen! The light pattern from the jars on the ceiling at night is very pretty.

I also got the 16 light fixture to match. They are beautifal but I had a total of 3 jars broken. Do not put 40 watt bulbs in use 10 watts they get hot with higher wattage.

It is very much as pictured but the light bulbs shine brighter than anticipated. I will continue to look for the perfect bulb but the fixture is staying, regardless. It will definitely be a conversation piece which I very much enjoy. The light in our room
is better too, even if a little bright!

I loved this 5-Jar Pendant, but unfortunately it was too large for the space I wished to hang it. I really wished I had an island to put it over.
It would definately have been an excellent conversation piece.
