Good value lamp

I purchased the Eva colored glass lamp in jade and have been very pleased except for one minor glitch. The small black switch that turns lamp on and off was stripped after only using a few times. I called customer service and they promptly sent me the entire inner works to replace. The lamp now works and looks fabulous!
Overall I am very pleased with the lamp but couldn't give it 5 stars because of switch. Although customer service gets 5 stars for being sooooo nice and getting my lamp fixed.

I LOVE this lamp

I LOVE this lamp but - I returned it. I ordered the jade which really was green. the photo makes it look sea blue and I was hoping it would be bluer than green but I was wrong. I want to add more blue to my living room and green won't do. PB has a blue glass lamp but I don't like the style like I love this one.

needed repair in 3 weeks

Loved the look, loved the shade but we had to replace the switch within 3 weeks. Just ceased to work and was not "in" so to speak.
Poor quality on the electrical component. Had to do own repair as hour and a half drive to store and shipping prohibitive.

BEAUTIFUL GLASS/ AKWARD WIRING

This light is very nice, but the electrical plug just hangs loose from the bulb socket. This looks cheap and implies that not much thought went into the design. I will have to put a small piece of double face tape on the cord to secure it to the glass so it's not just hanging lout.

What a disaster!

The french wired cord is the least of this lamp's problems. The shade was white in the picture but came with an ugly color beige that reminds me of grass cloth in the '50s. Then when I was trying a white shade on the lamp the entire top came off the glass globe. PB is sending a new one with a white shade and one that's put together better. If not, back it goes...you get what you pay for keeps going through my head

I love the lamp for the bedroom I have then in. The things that caught me off guard was the color of the glass is not as rich in color as it appears on line. Also, the power cord is not located at the bottom of the lamp. It attaches at the top of the lamp.

Love the Lamp, Especially the French Wired Cord!

The French-wired cord that seems to annoy so many other reviewers is one of the reasons I bought this lamp. I much prefer it this way than running through the lamp itself and hope PB will continue to offer F-w cords on these clear lamps. I got the Jade color and spend several minutes trying to figure out if mine is green or blue - and the trunth is it looks different depending on the ambient light - perfect! Just the effect I'd hoped for. This will be an accent lamp in our master bedroom, which is done in shades of maybe-green-maybe-blue, and gray. Love the bubbling/seeding of the glass as well. It arrived very safely packed, with the neck part well protected. Take care in unpacking it and you shouldn't have any problem - I put the packing box on its side, then cut the side open, and with the styrofoam all exposed, cut it and lifted the lamp out sideways. I wouldn't try to remove it from the top of the box (that is, don't grab the lamp by the neck and yank it upwards).

I was too disappointed that the cord hands from the back of the shade. But, the biggest problem is when I put it together the electrical part came apart from the jar. Guess I'll have to repair it with super glue before I can use it. I wish the glass was a deeper in color. Guess I'll keep it if my repair works.

I bought this lamp in jade for my bedroom. This is the first time I've purchased a product online through Pottery Barn and this was the first time I've ever purchased a Catolog/Internet Only product. On both counts I was extremely pleased. The jade color resembles the color of recyled glass more than a true green and the price is perfect! The lamp came well packaged and completed protected from any bumps and jostles. The shade is ok, but I may replace it with a more natural colored linen drum shade. The ivory is almost too white. My only disappointment is the cord. It hangs from the neck rather than the lamp base. Luckily the cord is clear so it's not extremely visible (I think it would be more visible with the clear lamp color) but it's still an annoyance. The cord is the reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5.

I love the look of this lamp, however, the one feature I do not like is that the electrical cord comes out to the socket instead of the bottom of the lamp. That way, the glass is totally see-through but the cord is very visible all the way down from the shade to the floor. I am still thinking about returning the lamp.

Beautiful golden color, like old-time seed glass, the lamp is a little short for my window shelf, so I piled large books underneath--now an inspiring spot when the sun shines through, a pleasure every time I pass by

Bought this lamp for a lake cabin. It would blend equally well with a modern or traditional setting. The price was also very reasonable. Great purchase!

I replaced the shade (at Pottery Barn) and like it much better now. But the plastic fitting that sits on the glass (which was glued on) came undone the first day I had it. Eventually, I'll try to superglue it, but all this is a bit much for a new purchase.

I love this lamp! I've been shopping around for a glass lamp of this style. The Eva lamp has the best style and the best value I've seen. There were some similar lamps that I liked as well but they cost 3 times (or more!) what the Eva lamp costs. The Eva lamp added a fresh and modern touch to our casual living room, and I absolutely love it! The cord did not lie flat so I used double-sized tape to train it to lie flat. Now it's perfect! I would recommend this lamp to a friend!
