We bought this a little over 2 years ago and are still in love. Very stylish, and we get many compliments. Easily fits magazines and small packages. Mail has only gotten wet once - and the box is open to the elements - and that was when the box wasn't shut properly and we had a big storm. No complaints whatsoever.

RUST & PEELING Already!

We bought this mailbox about a year ago, maybe a bit less, and it is already rusted and peeling on the corners and edges. The mailbox is on a covered porch and not even in the rain. I'm extremely disappointed with this product. Doesn't live up to Pottery Barn standards, and won't be buying anything like this from here again. For the amount of money spent, total disappointment.
Do not buy this mailbox unless you want to be buying a new one in a year. Waste of money.

Bought this mailbox just over a year ago in antique silver because we loved the style. Our mailbox hangs next to our front door on a covered porch where it is barely exposed to the elements, and already the edges are rusting all over the mailbox, especially along the lip of the lid. Incredibly disappointed, I expected a much higher product quality.

Love this mailbox. Easy mount and great quality. I recently rebuilt a 1930's cottage and this was the perfect finish. Vintage look without all the hassles of real vintage! You will not be disappointed. One tip - make sure you measure your space. This mailbox is much bigger than a standard mailbox.

I'd been looking for a distinctive mailbox for quite some time to go with the house letters I purchased in Paris. This one is terrific - very stylish. The bronze finish matches the hardware on my door and the exterior lighting on my house. I've received many compliments.

I just received this and was happy with the style, size and color. Unfortunately, there were 2 design flaws. The lid doesn't close all the way and even if it did, the magnet doesn't work at all. I was willing to overlook the cheaper, lightweight metal that it is made of because that didn't bother me, but not closing all the way is just asking for soaking wet mail.

It's been on the house for about a month. Twice the mail has been wet on the bottom edge. Rain seems to have made its way inside although the lid was completely closed. Only point I can see as possible entry is at the hinges. Not sure if it's a design flaw or if my box is defective?

My husband and I just bought a new home and it desperately needed a mailbox update! It's one of those things some people overlook, but it's surprising how it can really make a difference. I ordered the Bronze finish mailbox - it is very dark, closer to black than bronze. I'm very happy with the color - coordinates well with our black shutters and brass hardware.

I love this mailbox! It is sturdy, huge, and simply lovely! We just painted our house pink, so we get noticed in our little town BUT the mailbox gets noticed too. People have actually walked up to me and asked where I got it.
I did a lot of online shopping this holiday season and many of my packages fit in this beauty. AND BONUS - the magnetic 'clasp' is strong enough to hold mail I set out for the mailman to pick up.

Perfect, Large Mailbox!

We recently moved into a home and were desperate to find a nice mailbox, that had great style and was large enough to fit all the magazines, large envelopes, and small boxes that we often receive. This mailbox is not only priced well compared to everything else on the market, but its a very cool style, and large enough for all of our mail to fit nicely with the top being able to close. The only con is I ordered the bronze to match the finish of the door hardware and outdoor light, but it definitely looks black, but it coordinates just fine. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this mailbox!

I had orginally seen this envelope on a black door in an ad for Pottery Barn. This is much bigger than I expected from the photo and very rough on the back side. It would certainly scratch any place I put it. Once my door arrives I will see if it works at all. If not I will be returning it. If I keep it I will have to put some type of backing on it so as not to ruin the door.
This was a disappointment since I had been drooling over it for several months before I was able to order it.

I received a compliment from the postman regarding this mailbox; he said he's seen nothing like it. It fits large magazines, as well as smaller pieces of mail and keeps them covered from the elements. Fantastic design, well built, and the finish seems like it will last.

Gave this whimsical letter shaped mailbox to my friend as a gift. She loves it on the front of her quaint yellow house with a yard full of flowers! It was simple to put up, keeps the rain out and is big enough for magazines not to be bent! I think you will love it too!

Originally thought this mailbox was going to be too big; but it looks perfect installed under a covered porch and everyone (including the mailman!) has commented on it's good looks (pewter). It holds large magazines and envelopes without having to fold or crease them like our old mail slot. Plus, the magnetic close is a clever idea!

Not only does this mailbox look really great, it is very functional. We went on vacation for two weeks and had the post office hold our mail. When we returned, they delivered the two weeks of mail all at once and it fit...no problem. It's very easy to get into to collect our mail as well. Very pleased with this purchase.
