Delphine Organic Bath Towels
Organic cotton brings incomparable softness and purity to these bath towels. Loomed in Portugal to a 600-gram weight, they're printed with a botanical motif inspired by Persian textile design. pretty but disappointing

I was very excited to purchase these towels when they went on sale; however, I am terribly disappointed in the quality. They appeared soft and fluffy and PB describes them as "ultraplush". The patterned side is soft and velvety, but not the slightest bit absorbent - even after multiple washings (cool water, low heat, no fabric softener). The reverse side is thin and rough - comparable to 200grit sandpaper. The only reason I am not returning the towels is because it will cost me more to ship them than what I paid for them.
On the positive side, they are very pretty. The muted colors compliment the intricate pattern and the result is a very elegant - but somewhat useless - towel. At most, they'll look good displayed in the extra bathroom.

Great Colors

I bought a new home and wanted to treat myself to new bath accessories. These towels allow are an excellent weight and quality with colors that you can pull out for accent and give a fabulous designer look to my new bathroom.

Non-Absorbant towels

I thought the Delphine towels would go with my Pottery Barn bedding and rugs.
When I received them, I washed them per the instructions.
The very first thing my husband said after trying to dry off from his shower: "I hope you got these on Sale--It's like drying off with Wax Paper!" I sent them back as they were unusable for anything but display.

Lovely muted colors

The muted colors blend beautifully with the natural travertine and marble vanity top in my master bath. I'm very happy with the quality and appearance.

lovely towels--color and design are wonderful. however, the towels are not very absorbent. they are not fluffy like most towels but have a hard-type finish. my family uses them anyway, but they are not what i expected.

Towels and shower curtain did not match.

I ordered the Delphine organic shower curtain and matching bath towel.
They did not match at all. I was very disappointed.

Absolutely Beautiful Towels

I received these yesterday, and immediately hung them on my bathroom towel rack. I already have the 'Vanessa' shower curtains, and this compliments them perfectly. The inspiration may be a Persian rug, but the general ambiance created is very Art Nouveau/William Morris. 'Delphine' has an extremely velvety hand, with a design that has autumnal tones of gold, soft brown, green, rust, and smoky blue on a creamy ivory ground. They are exceptionally soft, finely-made towels with an ombre look about them, with rich gradations from lighter to darker designwork. They look as if they should cost a small fortune, but I got them on sale at the PB website, and it was well worth the effort. Treat yourself, or someone special with these beautiful towels. Pottery Barn once again has produced something I know that you will love as much as I do. Thank you.
