Decorative Ledge
To create our ledge's salvaged look, craftsmen first stain the wood brown, then layer white paint on top. The surface is chipped and sanded to reveal hints of the contrasting undercoat. 66" wide x 9" deep x 15.5" high Crafted of new and recycled mahogany. Sealed with protective lacquer. Love this decorative ledge!

After waiting for over 6 months for the decorative ledge to go on sale, I was not disappointed when I finally made the investment. It's exactly as pictured, well made and worth every penny! I wanted something dramatic over my leather sectional and this mantle-ledge makes that statement. Plus, I was able to install it by myself without any problem. It only requires two screws to hang. It's a versatile piece that can be used in different rooms throughout my home whenever the redecorating mood strikes, and even repainted if desired.

This ledge is beautiful - but that is probably all it has going for it. My husband is a wood worker and he knows his stuff. He hung the shelf very quickly - knew exactly the proper way to install it. However, the ledge would not hang level. He said he knew it wasn't level when he hung it - but it wasn't an easy fix since the ledge wasn't made level. It looked as if everything I placed on top of it was going to slide off the front. I asked him to do what he could to fix the problem. He took it down and did some work on it to try to make it flat and his comments about how poorly the shelf were put together can't be published here. The shelf looks great but it is way too expensive for what it actually is.

Great shelf but the hardware is not right

I love, love, love this shelf. It is beautiful, but the hardware provided to anchor it to the wall is not quite right. In order for the hardware to work, your wall must be 1.5 inches thick, which most standard drywall is only 3/4 of an inch thick. Be sure and get some different hardware from your local store before attempting to hang this on your wall.

I had been looking at this for months & months finally broke down & purchased it. It looks stunning in my bedroom above the bed, was easy to install and it looks larger in person. If ever we move this has to go with us, Love Love Love it!!

Unique headboard

I purchased the decorative ledge to place over my bed. A friend said he would have never thought to use an old mantle as a headboard. He is a builder and thought the ledge was an antique mantle. He thought it was a wonderful idea. Two female friends just loved the look. My bedroom has antique mahogany furniture and the ledge made from mahogany, painted and them deliberately made to look older goes perfectly in the room.

This is super easy to hang. The hanger and board on the back make it easy to hang - my husband hung it by himself. Once it's up you still adjust it - moving it left or right up to five inches on each side (I think). It looks great as a headboard for our guestroom.

Love this ledge, bought it to hang over my bed and it adds character to my bedroom. Looks like what is pictured. Easy to hang but I recommend getting an additional set of drywall anchors and screws; the ones that came with the ledge didn't fit together right. Otherwise, it is a beautiful piece. I'm so glad I purchased it when it was on sale!

I love the ledge, which I hung over my bed. It was easy to hang, and it adds much warmth to the room. The only thing I didn't like was that it went on sale very shortly after I purchased it!!!

Purchased this ledge as a gift. It's beautiful and did not disappoint in quality. Waited to order it for months as I felt the price was a little high. Finally decided that it wouldn't be going on sale. As soon as I purchased it, they marked $100 off. This was a bit upsetting to me and so I've learned my lesson with PB. I'll never purchase again until something goes on sale.

This has become one of the final pieces to my bedroom at the lake. I have not hung it up yet but when I first saw it I fell in love and knew I had to have it. I have found it is better to wait and furnish your house with things you love then with things you like only because you think you have to furnish that particular room right away. I started my complete makeover in my lake room over a year ago and I am still looking for perfect pieces for it. Now that I have this ledge, all i need are things to go on it and my room will be complete. By not rushing into completing my bedroom I was able to purchase this magnificant piece!

I love this! At first glance, my husband thought I purchased it from an antique store and my mother thought it was really and mantel piece. I can't wait to hang it. The hanging should be simple, very easy set up.

Got this just the other day .... LOVE IT! It's up and looks fabulous. Watched this one for over a year and finally caught it on sale right after Christmas. Gave it 4 stars because there was a little damage but nothing you can see ... Thanks PB for such a beautiful piece of furniture for my wall.

The ledge is just stunning! But the installation was a struggle. The bolts and anchors were not compatible. The bolts simply pulled right out of the anchors. Do not use the bolts!
I purchased long wood screws and this activated the dry wall anchors. I also purchased the rustic shelves and had the same problem with the mounting system.
