Extremely sturdy, and looks great!

We are very pleased with the new umbrella stand! It is very sturdy, and works great, even on the windy day we set up the umbrella. Nice job, and it being on sale was a real plus!!

Bummer! Did not hold my 9ft PB market umbrella up even when the umbrella was closed. Disappointed!

Exactly what we needed. Heavy stand to secure our expensive umbrella and this did the job.

Amazing Umbrella Stand
June 22, 2012
There is no way my umbrella or stand is going anywhere even with the heavy summer wind storms we get. Is it very heavy and well constructed, and we could not find anything anywhere else that would fit the Pottery Barn umbrella diameters or that was made as well. Highly recommend! We waited until there was free shipping which helped with the price.

Heavily needed
April 21, 2012
This stand is very heavy and sturdy and definitely needed for breezy days, however, I had to give it four stars because for as heavy as it is, it managed to tip over when it got a bit windy. Still a good purchase if you're in a buffered area away from the winds.

not very good
March 12, 2012
this stand holds an umbrella fine but the tightening screw rusted after less than one season and the porous concrete material its made out of leached a white colored material when it got rained on the first time and stained my deck.

withheld the storm
October 4, 2011
I came home to my ferns and planters blown over in some very high winds, but my umbrella was still standing thanks to this heavy duty stand--and the vented design of the market umbrella!

Unbrella Stand
October 2, 2011
The stand is fine and does the job. It is recommended by the manufacturer that it be rolled not carried as it is heavy. However, when rolled the plastic rim around the bottom comes off. That piece of trim is a little cheesy. It goes back on with some effort, but be careful. A dolly might be the better alternative to move it, if not carried.

Didn't hold up
September 29, 2011
This base was heavy enough but where it needs to be the strongest;it wasn't. Plastic cracked (and consequently the cement within crumbled) after 1/2 a season just where the upright piece joins the flat base. My umbrella is supported by a round table as well as the base so I expected this product to last a lot longer than it did. Now I need a new base that doesn't have a seam or joint...has to be solid. Anyone know where to find one?

Heavy Stand
June 27, 2011
This stand is very heavy, but will tip if you don't remove the umbrella during strong winds.
