We love the fact that this lamp dims, and that it can be moved to different angles to cast either reading light or soft uplight. Good purchase. Only four stars because it is a bit tricky to adjust, but still a great addition to the LR.

finally found lamp that takes this wattage

I have been looking for a long time for a desk lamp that takes a 75 watt incandescent bulb. My husband uses it at his desk and he says it is perfect. It is adjustable and just right for him. He needs a lot of light and it has to be incandescent because flourescent light gives him migraines as does too little light. Most desk lamps use only up to 60 watt bulbs which is not quite enough or use only LED bulbs. So we are very happy with it and would recommend it to others.
