Disappointing

We fell in love with this lamp at the store and bought it immediately. When we assembled it we noticed the switch. UGH! It's not on the lamp where we expected. Instead it's part of the cord (see photo). This means that we'd have to reach down to the floor each time we want to turn on this lamp. This would be unreasonably difficult to do in the spot we planned to use the lamp. So disappointing. It's a beautiful product, but the switch is just a poorly designed afterthought. Back it goes!

This lamp is a wonderful addition to our home office. I bought this in the antiqued silver finish. I would describe the lamp as stylish, classic, functional, and high quality. So many other lamps I've had are flimsy, but this is a very sturdy and high quality product with a heavy base. I love that there are so many ways to adjust the light to exactly where you need it. The only issue I have is that because it comes with a dimmer switch, the CFL bulb flickers about every couples seconds when it's turned off. You can only get the lamp that has an on/off switch instead of a dimmer if you are getting the lamp shipped to California. If you put in a regular bulb that is compatible with a dimmer, it should work fine.

FLOOR LAMP IS GOOD VALUE. ASSEMBLY WAS EASY AND SERVES AS A TASK LIGHT AT LOUNGE CHAIR. VERY SATISFIED
