Disappointing patio set

The wood faded and cracked despite being in a shaded area and covered. I wouldn't buy this set ever again.

Chesapeake table only average quality

For the price, I expected a lot more for this table. I bought it in 2004 (now Jan 2013), and it needs replacing. It has been under cover on patio the entire time. Only elements it gets exposed to is morning sun and water on patio floor in hard rain. The legs have rotted from bottom up from absorption of water. Wood faded quickly. Also bought two chase lounges of same collection and they fell apart (literally) in three years. I would not buy this product again!

Very Disappointing

I purchased this table at the end of the season last year. I took it out to use for the first time this year and within two weeks the finish on the table is peeling and cracking. It looks like we have already had it for years. I purchased directors chairs to go with it and one has already split. Given the sectional unit, buffet, and lounge also purchased have not worn well I am regretfully giving up investing any more money into the outdoor furniture.

already peeling

I bought the round table and benches in this furniture line last year and it is peeling this year. It was kept outside in the winter, but covered with the Pottery Barn covers suggested for the set. There is a lot of peeling on the table and some beginning on the benches between the slats where it will be difficult to sand and re-stain. This is very disappointing. It had looked like the perfect solution for our deck.. with lots of seating. I am not looking forward to the cost in time and materials to fix this problem.

Disappointing Table

Set this table up 2 months ago. It is out doors, as the name suggests it should be. It is already showing signs of the finish peeling off. I had a very difficult time even getting it to my house- shipping took over 6 weeks- and now it looks like it is not going to hold up. Pretty depressing considering how it was advertised and how much it cost.

Doesnt weather well

I purchased this table, 10 chairs, 2 small square side tables and the double chaise. It spent one summer out and one winter season outside in the mild Willamette Valley of OR. Temps are 30 to 90 but mostly 40 to 70 with 8 months of drizzle and 3-4 months of sun. I kept it clean but did not cover over winter. This summer in only its 2nd season it is warped, rickety, and has lost much of its stain. The care suggests covering but doesnt require and certainly does say the it is well coated and weather resistant. I am extremely disappointed and going to junk the table.
