Chenille Mat - Straw
Textured and soft underfoot, we used pure cotton chenille to create this flat-woven mat. Woven of pure cotton chenille. Use with our Premium Rug Pad (sold separately). Catalog / Internet only. Imported.

Nice but edges curl up

This is a nice rug. It is very soft. The only problem is that the edges curl up, so you have to be careful not to trip over it.

Straw colored chenille rug

I have to say that I was VERY disappointed with this rug. It is a cheap quality and I paid MORE for it than I did for cotton rug that I bought about a year ago! I would have bought another rug like the cotton one, but you don't carry it any longer - bad mistake! I love this rug and should have bought a couple more while you had them!
The chenille rug won't lay flat (the edges curl up) and it will probably fall apart because it has very little substance to it. I stuck it under my dining room table because I don't want to put it in my living room (which is why I originally bought it) because it looks so cheap. I can't believe this cost me more than my cotton rug!!! I won 't buy any more rugs from Pottery Barn online because you can't count on the quality of the item.

Great Rug and excellent timing

I really like this rug! I ordered it in straw and it really lightens up my dark furniture making the room look larger. It's soft on the feet. Our dog sheds a lot which is noticeable but, it vacuums up fine.

I just received my rugs and they are beautiful! I bought a 5*8 and two 3*5's for my kitchen and they look so wonderful on my hardwood floor. Thank You PB

Nice "beachy" look and feel

After making a new quilt for our bedroom with Florida sunrise,sunset colors, I wanted to accentuate that beach feel and this chenille mat does just that.. It is soft underfoot, but with an understated look, like sand at the beach. Very pleased.

Not without problems

A number of others have suggested the rug is difficult to vacum; while this is true it is not impossible. Personally, I have not had any problems with wear, though the rug immediately had an almost years old look to it, it seems more like a fine patena rather than something old and ratty. My one primary complaint about the rugs is that none of them have 90 degree sides. I have 3 of the rugs and every one of them is crooked on one of more sides. The one in my entryway has a difference of nearly 3.5 in. in the length of one side versus the other - very noticeable.
While overall I am pleased with the rugs, I would recommend having the rungs rolled out to see the shape before buying.

Soft, but wears poorly

This rug arrived promptly. Aside from the dead beetle (tiny, but still, rather a bad start) that came rolled up inside with the rug, it looked fine. Very soft, pretty neutral color, but it immediately started having loops of the rug come loose, creating little snags and bumps all over. I would not recommend this rug.

Poor Quality for Pottery Barn

I have a house full of PB Rugs and love them all but this one is terrible. I have had it for a month in a low traffic area and it looks years old. It is wearing terrible and doesn't even vacuum well.
