Chelsea Table & Bedside Lamp Base
Built with substantial design and traditional styling, our Chelsea Table and Bedside Lamp Bases feature weighted foundations and a telescoping design that lets you adjust their heights with the twist of a turnkey. Cast of steel, zinc and brass. Pair bedside lamp with our small Linen Drum Shade. Pair table lamp with our medium Linen Drum Shade, or top either size with any of our Mix & Match(R) shades (all shades sold separately). Table lamp has a 3-way switch; bedside lamp has a Hi/lo switch. The bronze lamp had a note attached stating made of lead. Disappointed that lead was used to make this lamp. Returned lamp.

Color didn't work, but lamp was beautiful

The color described as bronze is more of a dark gray, like the color of pencil lead. That didn't work with my decor, but the lamp is beautiful.

Dying to get these

I'd been dying to get these ever since I saw them. I love their "Country Causal" look with the adaptibility of height and light. They are perfect with the style of my room. My husband was really pleased to see that he could make his lamp taller to meet his needs. Especially since it keeps me happy with how it looks.

This lamp has great quality workmanship. It has great quality weight in the base. Very substantial. Nice to know this kind of quality is still around! Product quality like this makes me keep coming back to Pottery Barn!

Beautiful lamps

We purchased these lamps to replace gold finished lamps. These are so beautiful and have made a difference in the room's decor. Also they give off a lovely glow with the linen shade. Find the two light levels very convenient.

I got 2 Chelsea table lamps along with the floor lamp in bronze for my living room. These are great!! I love traditional pieces that I'll love 40 years from now and definitely think that's important when investing in quality lamps. I love the sturdiness of the base. I'm totally obsessed with the fact that I can adjust the height because I do not have matching tables on either end of my couch but like that the lamps can still be even. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.

Awesome bedside lamps

I've been looking for some time for the right bedside lamps. I'd seen these but wasn't sure if they were exactly what I was looking for. One of my beside tables is taller than the other, so I decided to give these a try. Now that they are in my room, they are EXACTLY what I needed.

Love my set of bedside lamps. Had to return one because the bottom was not even and it rocked back and forth. A little disappointed that it was not caught prior to shipping.

Finish flakes off

I purchased the table lamp in brass finish. The finish on the base and neck of the lamp is flaking off in sheets after a month. I realize now that I saw some flakes in the box when I unpacked the lamp, so this started right away. I see based on other comments that others have had similar experience, which is what I would expect given the extent of the problem. Will return. Would not recommend -- I can't imagine this is not a systemic production flaw. PB should remove this item from their catalog.

We have the matching floor lamp also. We like being able to pick out the shade too and that it is a three way...hard to find that these days. the narrow diameter looks great on a small round glass top table...does not overpower the table and vise versa. Being able to adjust the height is also a great plus.

Chelsea bedside lamp base

If you remember the Chelsea base from a few years ago, you'll notice a definite difference between the new one and the older version. I also have the former version in brushed nickel, and while it's a great lamp, this one is much more substantial with more weight and "heft" to it. My new lamp is in bronze and I paired it with a small block print drum shade for use on my home office desk. I'm very happy with the quality and look of both base and shade!

Two of the four of these lamps that I got had areas where the gold finish was rubbing off. It was very obvious and disappointing. Customer service was great, but I am not sure I would recommend the gold finish lamp.

I absolutely love these lamps. The lamp bases are very heavy and I like that you can adjust the height. The lampshades are perfect. I like the fact that the shade fabric isn't too heavy and it lets a lot of light out. I am so happy I purchased these and would recommend them.

I love the look of the lamps but the shade sits crooked on one of the lamps despite my many attempts at straightening it. Otherwise I love the lamp!
