This swing-arm sconce is a perfect bediside lamp. It's look
is tailored and the extension provides ample lighting for reading & the low setting creates a soft light either side of
the bed. Our only drawback was that we found our existing
shades to be too dense & they limit the amount of light that would
otherwise be shed.

I bought 2 of these nice looking lamps for my master bedroom make-over. Very nice brushed brass finish and sturdy. They have a 2-way switch for brighter/lower lighting and can be easily moved but do not sway at all. My husband easily installed them with the included hardware, (many times he tends to improvise to improve installation or parts included with items) this was not necessary with these. I'm very happy with my new lamps and would recommend them to a friend.

I was looking for sconces for our bedroom and I finally found the perfect ones. I love the way they look. The only negative is the shade drooped somewhat and my husband had to place some cardboard shims to level it out. Other than that - they were easy to install and really look nice. I love them!

I like to read in bed and I have always wanted these lamps. I finally ordered them when they were on sale and I am completely satisfied. They are just what I wanted and seem very well made. They also take a decent size light bulb so they really are good for reading. If you don't check the size of the lightbulb you might get stuck with a low watt requirement which is not helpful to a reader.

We bought these for our little cabin in Hayward and love them. They have the metal cord cover which makes it look tidy and clean. They go well with the pine walls.

The lamp is very pretty and easy to install and I am keeping it.
However, I was shocked upon opening the box to find an insert that warned of lead content in/on the lamp. It specifically said to wash hands after handling the lamp. I guess I will have to turn it on/off with a tissue at bedtime. I am disappointed with the product for this reason and more disappointed with Pottery Barn for offering it.

We ordered a pair of the Chelsea sconces to update the look of our bedroom. We love them, the sconces are of great quality and look wonderful. Easy to install and I like having 2 brightness settings to choose from.

Beware, Bronze It's Not!

I gave this sconce 4 stars because I love the product. I had to return it however because of the color. BEWARE: bronze is NOT bronze. Pottery Barn "bronze" is not brown at all. The sconce is totally gray in color. I would call it gun metal gray or pewter. If you have bronze hardware in your home like I do, this will not match at all. They really should rename their products and call the color what it is! GRAY!!!

We installed this sconce above our sofa to match the one we purchased a couple years ago. The pair looks so nice. One important design factor for us is the bronze tubing that was included which covers the wire that runs from the bottom of the wall plate to the electrical outlet. I'm sure we will enjoy these lamps for years to come.

Love the swing arm sconces. Bought cheaper ones at a big box store that were impossible to mount. After an hour of trying to figure out the installation instructions, took those back and got 2 of the PB Chelsea ones. Arrived in about a week and took me 20 minutes to mount both of them. So easy to install and they look fabulous. Will never buy anywhere else, PB is the best.

I ordered two sconces, the bottom of one is scratched. Both are supposedly new but one is definitely scratched from manufacturing or another person's returned product. This is disappointing.

I bought two antique nickel lamps with white PB shades. They were surprisingly easy to install. The base is sturdy and well-made. The shade is perfect -- the linen weave looks nice and the white is a slightly off white color. I bought these after unsuccessful lamp purchases from a big box retailer and an online lighting store. The quality of the Chelsea lamp is great and Pottery Barn's price is right. I wish I had found these first! Very pleased with my purchase.

We got two of these lamps. One must had been returned already sice it came wrapped in plastic and fasteners were missing.
Overall it is a pretty lamp. The used one we received wasn't straight anymore, the arm wasn't horizontal. Some time working it put it in an ok range. The arm is very lose though. For the money it is not worth it. If the return wasn't so much hussle I would put them both in a box a send back. Unfortunately, one of you would get it back....

Really attractive

I agonized over lighting in our master forever. These are very clean looking and easy to use. I didn't install them, so can't speak to the ease there. I love having lighting that doesn't take up space on nightstands and doesn't get knocked over when reaching for a glass of water at night. One of them was missing a screw, which we haven't tried replacing yet. I went with non-PB shades to get a slimmer profile.

The Chelsea sconce is elegant, and functions well as a reading lamp next to the bed. The simple classic shape works well in our transitional decor. The lamp feels substantial, and well-constructed.
