Looks good on the wall, just can't use it.
When you try to open your bottle the drink spills out and down the wall.
Would only recomment as a decoration, not for use.

As other reviewers mentioned, this bottle opener sprays beer everywhere! I was very frustrated.....it even went on the newly painted wall behind me. The actual opener looks great, but unfortunately I will be returning it. Very disappointed!

Best Beer Spraying opener!

All the comments below are true. I purchased 2 different Bulldogs and they both spray beer over a 24 sq. ft. area.
But one comment had me place 2, 1/4 nylon spacers behind the dogs ears, and it works perfect now.
Be warned, it is a fun activity to have all your rugby friends over for St. Pats, and watch as each one attempts to conquer an insurmountable feat, and then gets coated with Irish Stout.

Never lose your opener

I gifted this to owners of a bulldog and they love it. Never need to hunt for your opener anymore. The weight was solid and the item came with all necessary items for mounting.

I absolutely LOVE this bottle opener. It's a bulldog wall opener that is too cute especially if you are a bulldog sports fan. My friend has one in her downstairs bonus room and I had to have one too. Ours will be placed in our poolhouse for 'outdoor actitiviies'. Also bought by father-in-law one!

My husband is one of those guys that has everything and I really wanted to get him something cool and different. When I saw this, I knew it was what I was looking for. He loves it and everyone that sees it loves it! I was a little scared that I would not get it in time since it was not in the store and I had to order it online 4 days before Christmas. Shipping was even included which was great and it arrived in time! Great service and great gift! Thank you!

The item looks great but doesn't work properly. This opener was put in place of an older opener that worked great but looked plain. The few bottles I opened with the Bulldog Bottle Opener sprayed beer all over. Would not recommend.

I bought 2 these for my husband. (and 2 others for hostess gifts). He installed them on a beam, and used them. In each case, in order to open a bottle, the bottle must be held horizontally for the opener to catch the bottle cap, which makes beer spill out every time. The design of the opener is faulty. Had to return.

I purchased this as a gift for a Georgia Bull Dawg household. It was a great hit and will be the inspiration for their remodel. That says a lot about the quality of this piece.

I liked them but when my husband & son-n-law put them up and opened the 1st bottle...and each one since...the liquid runs down the face and down the wall. We tried opening them slow and fast but they still do this. They look good but are a little smaller than I thought they would be. They both like the opener and have shown them off to their friends. Are you kidding about my nickname? If I change it to suit the question it will not be my nickname & I don't want to choose another one. It is Pam.

I thought the bulldog bottle opener would be a unique gift for my sister's bar area. It was larger than I expected, but I still loved the look of it. It is a nice sturdy piece and came with hardware and directions. I wish I had ordered one for myself before we put in our kitchen backsplash. It should be a great conversation piece for her guests.

As many reviewers have stated, the design of this opener is wrong. You have to hold the bottle almost horizontally and when you open it, beer sprays all over the wall and your hand. I hope Pottery Barn reads these reviews since most people keep the opener and make modifications to make it work. We will probably try the spacer behind the top screws to see if we can get it to work since we like the look of it.

I'll be honest, this was a gift, so I haven't seen it installed yet, but the quality that it seemed in the packaging looked great. Can't wait to try it out.
